I was going to say Jun...but Nino really blew me away in Letters to Iwo Jima so I had to go for him. Jun is a very close second though.
Their eyes are always so intense, and those are the first things I notice about people.
I voted for MatsuJun.
Almost alone based on his performance in Hana Yori Dango 1 and 2.
It is the best drama I have ever seen in my whole life,
and MatsuJun was my favorite character.
(In every other forum I'm a part of, I go by tomyouji which is a mix of my name, and the name of Matsujuns character in HYD ^^)
I also liked him in Bambino!
However, I think both Sho and Nino are also great actors.
Yamada Tarou Monogatari <3
ninomiya kazunari is a great actor. he is versatile and he capably brought justice to all the characters that he has portrayed. based from his productions that i've watched, i can't see the 'ninomiya kazunari' in the characters that he plays.
i think it is very commendable for an actor to only let the audience see the character and not the actor-in-character. i hope that makes sense.
sakurai sho and matsumoto jun are also quite good in the acting department. i don't think i could give an objective opinion about aiba masaki and ohno satoshi because i haven't really seen them acting much.
I voted for nino, not being biased here. I actually switched back from Aiba to Nino partly because his acting blew me off!
Jun tends to get storylines that are very interesting and suitable for majority taste. He's good but he doesn't seem to be able to express the depth of the characters when he could.I don't see much breakthrough in his acting/characters,I still see the 'Jun' that baits you..sorry but all thanks to him!! Yes jun-baited.
Nino is able to blend into the characters. He's able to speak the heart of the characters based on emotions and facial expressions. It just flows and seems natural, especially tough roles.
Even for romantic role- Minami kun no koibito, the role captured my heart though he's not domyouji.
He has been improving, but there's still room for him to sharpen his skills.
Go nino go!!
Marathon made me sympathize this little autistic kid, wanting to cheer him on and I teared a lot too. But still not good enough on some parts compared to other films.
For Sho, I was impressed he could totally act like a 'sluggish person' in kiiroi namida. He seems to be pretty good, but lacks representative shows.

This completely sums up my feeling regarding Jun's acting. Jun is rather "mainstream", in the sense that he's so likable to everyone's taste when they see him in a drama/film (hence the "Junbait" phenomenon). But there's not much depth to the character, and Jun does not do slow-paced dramas/films well. Bokuimo is quite the perfect example for it.

Totally with you again on this point. Nino is absolutely versatile, he can do slow-paced or fast-paced just as well, he can speak the character's emotions through his eyes or facial expression, like many have mentioned before. Nino doesn't need the character to be mainstreamly likable (perfect example : Ao No Honoo), he doesn't need the storyline or background to be a certain way "to bring out the best in him", he can bring out the best in himself whatever the storyline or background is. That's real talent to me.
woah.. its like a heated battle of deciding between matsujun and nino.. haha.. but i guess to me nino is the better actor though matsujun is good too.. haha.. cant decide
so...it has come to the point where nino and jun battle it out....haha...i mean they're both very good when it comes to acting....and their acting is the reason why i got hooked into arashi in the first place... Jun in gokusen and nino in YTM...haha...so technically, i was a jun-bait because of HYD specifically Wish...
But i chose nino... because if eyes can kill, he would be the reason for me dying... jun's very good too and he has the more appealing look, but nino hit me hard w/ YTM (I tried to prevent tears from coming out, but in the end I cried in every episode!!!)... Then i saw his other works and that added to his appeal... and now i'm excited for his next dramas/movies to come...hehe...
i chosed sho on the basis that the roles he performed, the roles are very different from each other...when i was watching pikanchi, i was looking for sho...only to realize after quite some time and after that he was the motorcycle guy...also, he acted as the so innocent and very child-like taiyou-sensei...etc...
nonetheless,
nino and jun are great actors but i find their roles a little bit limited (seems to me that they are doing roles that are not really deviating from the images they are exhibiting; the roles could also be limited because of their physical appearances [sorry i'm not sure how to explain it properly])
i really like jun in boku wa imouto ni koi wo suru, hana yori dango, and pikanchi....wonder how he is in his next two movies...(looking forward to it)...
aiba, i love him in kiiroi namida...i never expected that he would be able to deliver his character well given that the movie is melodramatic while he is always cheerful...
ohno, i'm sure he acts well in he's butai...too bad, he is not interested in doing series and movies as much as the others...i bet his a very good performer as well...
My choice stuck between Nino and MatsuJun. I like Jun's roles in almost everything that he's in. I always thought the role he picked his character welll. He knows what people like and don't like from him. Nino's roles have more varieties in it though...he shows that he can portrait many different roles and I think that's what so great about him...a very versatile actor.

Hmm... I'm also stcuk between Jun and Nino. Both are great actors and have taken different kind of roles.
But, I vote for Nino. Nino really surprised me when I saw his acting in Ao No Honou and in Marathon. He can really bring out the character and fit whatever character that is given to him. He's really gifted and can carry on the character well. Its almost like the character is actually him.
Well, if Ohno would do more acting, I'd probably vote for him.

I voted for Jun. I think he's the best at acting... maybe because I saw more Jun dramas, then Nino... but they're both very gifted ^^ still I think Jun's a little better then Nino.
I voted for Nino cause I think he's the one who can act a role well among them. Matsujun can also good at acting but if I would choose between him and Nino, I think Nino is better.
I chose Jun.. but to be honest I've never seen the rest act.
It's just that I feel the Domyoji he protrayed is quite different to his real self is it not???
Altho there's the fiery character that the real Jun has as well.. but Domyoji is like obnoxious and actually a bit querky.. but the Jun now is a tad serious and detailed.. and a tad feminine? with his love for cooking and having things neat and well planned.
Yet when I watch Domyoji, I totally can't see Jun.. so that's why I think his acting is great... the others have to be absolutely great to beat him hehe.
