I must admit my opinion is pretty biased since i like Jun more than Nino but that doesn't stop me from seeing how good Nino's acting skills are as with Juns.
So yeah, I picked Jun. He's played a lot of different roles and I really like each of them and how different they are from one another, he does them so well to. Like you know that Domyouji and Momo are the same actor but you see them as two entirely different people. Nino is like this with me to, when I see him act but I'm not as moved by him as I am with Jun. (probably due to who I like more and not actually towards who acts better)

hmm..nino hands down.....jun is a good competition for it..but nino really can pull of all sort of characters...he also can pull off those "dead-pan" emotions....something i learned in one of my drama class i used to attend to (and i am stressing USED TO)..."dead-pan" means being totally MOTIONLESS yet you can make the person feel what you're character wants to convey..
choose jun. might be bias though, i watch more works of him than the others.
it's just i don't catch jun's usual personality as i watch arashi when i watch his act.
so it's him.

I believe that as many people think the battle is between Jun and Nino, it doesn't want to say that Sho actue badly, or that Aiba should not do completely well, only that I think is that other two have gone out in more tv programs and it is possible to consider them to be better, anyhow ultimately I would remain with Nino, really he impressed me with his performance in " letters from Iwojima "
NINO. hands down.
matsu is also very good at acting (in fact i was junbaited into arashi by watching him act) and knows how to use his eyes really well. he's also very easy to look at...
HOWEVER. i voted nino because i believe he has played characters and roles that have been more challenging than the roles of jun, including the controversial character in "The Blue Light." he knows how to mold himself SO well into his characters that you know longer feel that he's acting...and his crying scenes are AMAZING.
NINO IS BEST AT USING FACIAL EXPRESSIONS. he knows how to act without words, and he is very natural. although matsu does this to a degree, i feel that he doesn't transcend into using more than a few different facial expressions...you know?
UHM. to me, this means a lot, since nino is the least attractive member for me in arashi, but i ADORE watching him act far more than any other of the members. and plus, he really grew on me. <3 go NINO!
oh yeah, btw, i'm sure most already know this, but Nino orginally auditioned for the part of Shimizu in Letters from Iwo Jima, but Clint Eastwood said that Nino would be perfect for Saigo instead (the lead character).
I voted for Nino though I know MatsuJun is also good for I've seen his JDramas too. I can only vote one. I'll rank MatsuJun #1 when it comes to romantic themes but in general Nino for now.
The 3 others can act too. I've seen Sho in Kisarazu and Yellow Tears and he's not bad at acting at all. He's good in PIKANCHI too, same with Ohno and Aiba. Ohno's field of acting is more on stage plays and he likes the live audiences more hmmm -maybe he just want a different kind of acting? I take stage plays as more serious acting than TV and movie acting, so maybe Ohno is an underrated actor or he's acting is in a diffrent level.
Aiba is not a bad actor at all, I'm looking forward to seeing him act in TVs or movies.

i voted for jun! he is so convincing on how he portrays his roles from serious shin to jolly little momo to aggressive tsukasa. i love it! but i do love how nino acts too, its just that i really am a jun-bait fan. lol
I voted for Jun and not because I think he is a pretty face, but because I really enjoyed Boku wa Imoto. This role of his simply blew me away and showed me how much potential he really has. Then I rewatched Kimi wa Petto and realized it's the same guy and I almost couldn't believe it.
I like the fact that when Jun is filming, he is carrying the character around with him. He practically blends with it. e.g. I saw two Hanamaru Cafes, one when he was just obviously filming Kimi wa Petto and the second where it was HYD, the difference in the personalities he displayed was amazing, although it's kind of scary....schizo even, I find it interesting.
I actually believe, that unlike some people believe, Jun's pretty face might be his handicap in filming, because he can have problems getting usual everyday characters or negative characters.
Nevertheless, what he did in Boku wa Imoto simply blew me away. I was torn between hating him and pitying him. In Bambino I was crying with him and I believe that what he did with the (sorry Bambino fans) boring role was fantastic. I felt for him and cringed for him and cried with him. I was really surprised how good he was in it, he is getting better with every new experience, I think he should choose more challenging roles (e.g. Boku wa) because they make him grow as an actor, although I do understand that there is only one Domyoji ) Therefore I am very glad he got the role in Hidden Fortress, it could be his world break-through role, just like for Nino Iwo Jima.
i voted for ohno. i think he can act well, it's just that he wasn't given the chance to be in jdoramas [well, mainly because he doesn't want to and preferred stage plays]

I choose Nino acting over Jun..Like Ogura-san says in one interview,he's a natural..He's the best when acting without words, you can really tell what the emotion he wants to express without overdoing it.
NINO. hands down.
matsu is also very good at acting (in fact i was junbaited into arashi by watching him act) and knows how to use his eyes really well. he's also very easy to look at...

I completely agree 100% with everything you said! It's like you took the words out of my mouth (or...my fingers?)...
