I have a question! I have a clip of Arashi on Show Nen Time from when they debuted. When the interviewer asks if they have a leader they say no. Then Ohno and Sho play the rock scissors paper game and Ohno loses and becomes Riidaa. Does anyone know if this was real or staged? If Ohno had won, would Sho be Riidaa now? Eh?

^ Well all I know is that the leader was chosen with jankenpo (seems like they use it always if they have to decide something) XD. So maybe is was in that vid. But honestly, I couldn't imagine anyone else as a leader than Ohno lol

I have a question too! I know Nino joined JE when he was 13. But how about others? When did they join JE?

That's right, it's like that Arashi decided on their leader, this video shows the real choice, and if Sho would be won, today he would be the leader of Arashi. But I can't imagine that either nonono

Nino joined johnny's on june 1996, he was 13
Aiba joined johnny's on august 1996, he was 13 too
Jun joined johnny's on may 1996, he was 12
Ohno joined johnny's on 1994, don't know exactly the month, so he was 13~14 !
Sho joined johnny's on october 1995, he was 13

If I'm not wrong ^^

Actually it's not that amazing that they joined JE at so young age since many members of JE have done so. First they are part of Johnny's Jr and later they may make a debut.

I meant that it's rare to join some group at so young age, nee? Wohoo!

Is it usual thing in Japan?

From what I know, most of Johnny's Jimusho boys and Hello Project girls entered the agency at the early teens.

And I think that's obvious considering how much they must learn before they join in a group and debuted.

Another question from me. One album came with a DVD. What does the DVD have? 'Cause I have off-sound clips of Sho, Jun, Aiba and Nino and would like to know what I'm missing XD

Uhh, you're missing a lot!!
For each member's solo song there is a video with your choice of:
- the original music
- on-set sound
- the member's commentary on the song
- another member's commentary: Sho comments on Itsuka no Summer, Ohno on W/ME, Aiba on Himitsu, Nino on Yume de iikara, Jun on Rain.
For each solo there is a Bonus Clip (two minutes or so) that starts with the member talking about another member (they draw cards to see who talks about who), and then follows the member around and out of the studio. Ohno talks about Jun, Aiba about Nino (funny 'cause he hands the card back, "dame"), Nino about Sho, Sho about Aiba, Jun about Ohno.
There is one more Bonus Clip with all members, of a photo shoot and all of them in an elevator when the lights go off (on YouTube I think).
Thanks for asking. It was a good excuse to watch it again. I don't mean to rub it in, but the Aiba parts are funny!

When did they start having their own colours? I mean, like Sho is red, Jun is purple etc. Have they always been the same? I sort of remember some old pics of them in Chinese costume, but I can't remember if the colours were the same as now.

^ They had the certain colors at least already in Hig time. But I don't get why in G No Arashi Aiba has purple and Jun has green as they have always been vice versa.

Well as of G no Arashi-

Ohno- Blue
Nino- Yellow
Jun- Green
Sho- Red
Aiba- Purple

I've noticed Nino usually sticks with Yellow, even in the concerts, but sometimes switches to green.

I don't think any of them have ever stuck with one color the whole time, even Sho, who has gone pink at some points.
