I love Mago-Mago Arashi, esp. the Kodomo no Bangohan edition. It's os fun to see idols cook dinner for kids. Not to mention test their skills in "parenting" little kids temporarily.
Pairings in MMA, maybe I like Aiba and Sho, and Aiba and Jun.
i really like the nino-ono pairing. it's funny how they don't hide the fact that they don't quite enjoy kids that much. i love that mago mago ep where the little boy refused to wear his "pantsu". my other favorite ep of them together is the okinawa mm where they planned an impromtu wedding by the beach. that was touching. another mma pairing i like, would be sho-aiba. particularly in the orange orchard episode. that was funny. i got the kicks when aiba announced on t.v. that sho went running off to the bathroom to "relieve" himself and when sho got back, he teased him about that. poor sho.
i definitely loved the rowing team saga. that was really something. i saw each member at a different light. i know that it is still tv and that there is still some acting involved but that's the closest i can get to seeing the 'real' arashi. i must say that they were able to carry themselves well through all the difficulties and challenges that came their way. rowing is not an easy sport. so i commend them for having the courage to take on such an activity.

Has anyone watche MMA episode 117?
Ohno thought that the RANCHUU (goldfish) was so cute but I think you're cuter than some fish
that's exactly what I thougt when I saw it... ^^
did he even realize that he made himself so cute when he said "Kawaii.. kawaii... Ranchuu ga kawaii..." aaagh... sooo cuuutee.... *dies*
anyway, I love all pairings with riida... ^^
but from all mago2x eps, the rowing boat saga left a very deep impression in me... it's very touching and "riaru"... it made me see a lot more in to each of their personality (especially riida an nino, somehow)

i like most of the episode but if can give a rank, sure it was
1. ohno - sho at chiken farm, sho is soooo kind
2. sho - aiba ,kodomo bangohan, cooking fish..the kids were cuteee
3. ohno-sho, cooking tuna at celeb kids house
...oh my..all of them got sho (biased)..haha....
from this show i can see their true colors....thats why i likeee this show so much
It's been a while since I've watched a bunch of the episodes, but I remember a couple that I enjoyed and they tend to have Ohno and Aiba in them. There's the one where Aiba wanted to make carrot juice for the kids, but the blender was too loud, so Ohno tried to muffle the sound by hugging it lol. Then there's the one and only episode with foreigner grandparents, and the one with the grandpa who liked swords (that's the episode where grandma accidentally grabbed Ohno's package LMAO).
i'm very fond of the ShoxAiba & OhnoxAiba pairings. they work together very well and it's so fun to watch them, especially during Kodomo Bangohan episodes.
i'm not too sure if such a thing exists cuz i don't watch TV anymore, but anybody in America wish there was a similar long-running show like MMA here? i doubt it would happen. especially if the hosts were celebrities :P

I really like Sho and Aiba too. Those two are the best with kids IMO. I love watching them intereact with the kids and play with them. (Watching MatsuJun struggle with them is amusing too.) As for a similar show in America.... I did for a while, but I realize how muri that would be. I don't think we'd get such hilarious moments out of the kids or people taking care of the kids as they did with arashi. And for some reason, I don't think seeing people help out old folks for a day would be very interesting when americans do it. i must be biased.

first, my fav would be sho aiba pairing but i would like to talk about something else.
it's a bit late, but i dl all the eng sub MMA rowing club eepis from taijiprojectsub community LJ
and i guess these epis (23, 29-35) contains all the reasons why we love Arashi. i think it shows their characters very well and to me these epis are very encouraging. They show essentially who they are, Arashi, not as celebs but just normal guys in their hot blooded 20s, the true them ( i hope and still believe) behind the glamour on stage, outside the showbiz. Just Ohno Satoshi, Sakurai Sho, Aiba Masaki, Ninomiya Karunari and Matsumoto Jun.
SHO:
everything i admire of sho and make him worthy of as my ichiban is here.
1. his dedication and hardwork ( i was so fired up when he got on the ergometer at the honey and clover filming set and his strong intention to improve himself, and there's the part on the van where he tries to study rowing when the others are playing around, great learning attitude)
2. his i-dun-wanna-lose spirt when he saw that he and his mates would be against keio uni in the race, as expected from keio boy who wants to strive for perfection from start to finish. i almost think that way, but sho is far more strong willed than me, god, this guy, you can learn tons from him!
3. his politeness and sense of reason/logic, really, what a gentleman (and dork sometimes). his parents have raised him well
4. concern for his mates ( i reli enjoyed the part when he talks with aiba and him being asked about jun, he reli puts his all trust and confidence not only on himself but also his mates)
5. respect towards sports ( i wish i also have his view of competition. in fact, i'm afraid of it even though i know it'll help me improve. i'm scared of failure and of how i and others will view myself. but sho has none of these concerns, in fact it is precisely the experience you gain from sports that he like s the most. though i find we both see the results important, he sees the process weigh just as much as well and i seem to fail to notice this)
OHNO:
though my niban, he lives up to my expectations
1. leadership (lead by not leading at all or with min interference, it's like what jun commented, he may seem unreliable at first but actually if you give yourself some time , you'll figure out that he is indeed a good, caring leader. at first, i was a bit disapppointed, frustrated or pissed even at his attitude like suggesting this rowing club business out of the bblue without the consent of the other members as sho reminds him, *ahem* and then him saying 'we can't go back now' and 'let's go home' or being sleepy etc, i mean , i feel waht jun meant then too, he suggested this but in the end, i sense his irresponsibility..... yet, funny, at times of crisis like the other four aren't communicating with hikaru san well, he was the one who linked them back together eg the time they all practiced after his butai, training camp and esp his concern for jun, the latter making be very touched)
2. gentleness ( well, he sure is kind, putting up such a suggestion as to fulfill hikaru san's dream)
3, hardwork (i notice also in GNA 35, he's the type of person that if he sets his mind into doing st, he will persist and then he succeeds, well that goes with his dancing and art too, no?)
AIBA:
i just realised that he actually resembles me A LOT.
a) very high tension (esp at science stuff since i'm a science nerd) and often carried by self momentum without much thought
b) is also ( if i can't enjoy the things i'm doing, i'm scared i'll hate it) kind of person
c) generally cheerful
d) loves play and games
e) doesn't want to be a nuisence to others
f) enjoys learning
g) has quite an ego
h) sees results weigh more than the process
so therefore, when he said something like quitting, it kinda reminded me the times when i slapped my science books (which i loved) because i didn't get the marks /grades that i wanted. through these epis, i found out that really i am like what i said in h). it was funny how easy it was to persuade him to join sho and oh chan with some expensive beef and his overall bakaness always brightens my day or at least flip my frown back to a smile.
JUN:
1. his seriousness (i guess like hikaru san said, he has the best attitude)
2. dedication ( on the ergometer after drama shooting and 1 hr's sleep, just amazing! and his remark of not wanting to make time his excuse, admirable, very.)
yet, i get very very very pissed off at his pissed off attitude to hikaru san, i know it turned out to be just a misunderstanding but to walk away like that and blurt out those words, maybe it's the tiredness or the time pressure but still, it doesnot make an excuse to walk away like that, even the other members didn't do that despite they too having some disagreement with hikaru san. no wonder i hear some force from leader's voice when he asked him to join the others to resolve the tension. oh and this is personal, but i can't stand men with nail polishing, no offense but jun, i simply can't agree with your sense of fashion.....
NINO:
the prankster but my, like oh chan, if he sets his heart into doing st, he does it great.
i love the part where he stuffs a mustard piled hot--stick (i forgot what that's called) and tricks aiba chan. really, his sarcastic remarks hit the nail every time. yet, he sure can read the atmosphere very well and support his members accordingly adequately. but being nino and my least favourite, i sometimes think his laid back attitude is very immature and still is. however, having supreme cooking skills, he does have a plus side.
Again, i just want to say that these MMA epis are a must watch, they are not as funny as DNA but it teaches you and i feel they and me, although the audience have reached some growth, though maybe insiginificant but certainly present internally.
my most favourite scenes was when ohno and aiba went to
visit the Ranchuu's xDD they are EXTREMELY adorable!! and
Ohno loves them too soooo cute!!!
hmm.. the other one is when Ohno was swinging the kid upside down. teehehe soo funny.
ahha i unno there was lots. . aww i wish they didn't stop MMA..
my mom watched it with me and she finally approved of Arashi.
LMFAO meaning that she doesn't think that they're just some pretty boys who can sing. HAHA. XD
I like Aiba and Ohno pairing best, they're just goofy and both very kind. I love the episode with the Ranchuu raising grandparents. When they were about to have lunch and Ohno was still playing with the fish. Aiba was like "you were thinking about to stealing one right now ne?".
When it comes to the episodes with kids, I like pairing with Sho, since he seems to be so good with kids, he's really kind.
