Do you play an instrument or want to play an instrument?

i play the piano since i was a kid. it has been over ten years now.
i started learning guitar for 4 years and stopped due to a major exam. but i have no intentions on taking it up again.
i also started playing the violin for a year now, but still not very skillful in it.

I can play the flute.. ((don't ask me why I asked my mum and dad to let me play it.. such a waste of 4 years..haha.. however I was really good))
however I wish I could play the piano and guitar!! whistle

i use to play the flute (1yr only.) and piano (like what.. five yrs?) but this year my mom let me quit because of all my complaints BUT NOW.....
i want to play the piano.. but she won't let me xP how weird is that....

At the elementary school I went to, all the third grade kids were required to learn the recorder in music class.. it was torture. Every class, we started out holding our recorders with our left hands and singing, "LEFT HAND! Nanananana.." like the Batman song. T__T

Outside of school, I was taking piano lessons once a week or something. And I still am, but I'm on summer break right now. (I'm still youngg. :P) Piano is about the only instrument that I can play fairly well. lol.

Then in fourth grade, we had choices of either orchestra or band, and there were lots of instruments to choose from. I chose orchestra, and played the viola for two years. After sixth grade, I quit. It was getting boring. (Plus, I hated the orchestra teacher. She looked like a gerbil. ><)

In seventh grade, we did piano and guitar in music class. I enjoyed playing the guitar, but I didn't like how my fingers hurt after class every day, lol. I wanna get better at guitar, though. But I'll have to reteach myself cause I don't remember anything from music class. -_-

Even though I played a lot of instruments before, I still think listening to music and singing is better, cause I don't have to be forced to practice. :P

will we learn the same thing when we learn keyboard or piano??

i took piano for about two years, but my parents kept changing where i took my classes (so my teachers), and everytime i got a new teacher they would make me start from the beginnin again. i never finished grade 1. =___= so i quit, but i really regret that now. i'd like to learn again... but my parents are all 'no, you made the decision to quit; you have to learn to stick to something' so.... yeah. cry

i play the saxophone in my school band.

and i can somewhat play the guitar(at like snail's pace. HAHA.) and piano. but i've stopped playing the piano like um 5 years ago? not my calling, i guess. haha. so i guess it's saxophone all the way! (:

I haven't played in a while cuz of all the stuff going on at school, but I play piano and I'm teaching myself guitar.

I used to play clarinet, saxophone, and violin, but I got too bored with those, I guess. I also want to take up electric bass. Why? Because it's awesome!

i had piano lessons for 7 years??? now im practising on my own... and i did trumpet for a year because they started a band program...but now im going to secondary school...so i had to return it and now my hands are craving for it so my dad is thinking about buying one!! i can play simple guitar chords...as well...
my mom is NOT musical... my dad can play guitar and likes music my brother also did the band program and did the clairnet.... but he has no talent... whistle
