This movie was definitely mind-blowing, partially because of Nino's AMAZING acting. It was so impressive, I could feel my heart beating really fast in the dramatic parts.
I couldn't help but feel sorry for Shuichi because he was obviously losing his mind, but I also admired him for his brilliant planning throughout the movie :]
Too bad somebody spoiled the ending for me, but it still surprised me because I didn't see it coming at that point in the movie.

Hands down, the best Nino movie ever. I'd say the best film made among films starred by Arashi members. Just watched it and completely blown away by it. I can't imagine Nino doing a role better than this, a complex minded character. Matsuura Aya is also wonderful. The angle and the way they shot it was brilliant. It's a beautifully written film. And you gotta love Pink Floyd's Post War Dream. It made my heart aches, literally.
I wonder if it's been nominated in any film festival or if it's won any awards at all. This film completely deserves it.
Nino could reflect every emotion and the thoughts of his character to the audience. My favourite movie, definately. But the impact of this show is way too depressing and to see a student being in such a bleak situation, ultimately going towards the path of death. I wouldn't say he is losing his mind, but the bitterness in 'him' that's causing every step and way to his destruction.
Really hope nino would get a new movie with another mind-blowing character. I love his works!

I've seen the film online but I rented again on VHS a week ago and it never ceases to amaze me. It's pretty powerful, and very much so character-driven. I don't know how to explain it- when without subs or voices at all, he conveys soooo much emotion in his face. I agree about it being his best film as well.
everything happened so quickly, but I really liked this movie...
I insist to read the book!!!
that girl with a speaking dog was so scary. I liked and hated nino's characters at the same time. uh it was so painful to watch!.
I liked the end. maybe I am weird but it ended just as it should have.
I just watched this movie and what can I say? It was quite a mental shock. I can't stop myself from watching it over and over again.
Nino was really good in this film, seriously. I watched this film just to see Nino's face rather than his acting, but in the end the whole film, the characters and the plot managed to affect me in a really strong way.

I just watched this movie a few days ago.
I knew Nino was a good actor, and he definitely did an awesome job in this role too.
The whole movie was pretty intense. It made me wonder if I could ever have the "guts" that he had. Definitely a must see.

I just finished watching the movie.
It hit close to home with me, with his animosity towards Sone, and mine towards my mom's boyfriend. But, Nino was amazing in it.
I'm guilty though, of thinking of the character Nino portrayed not as Kushimori, but as Nino himself, which made the ending just, a heartbreaker
It really affected me, like, I'm thinking differently about everything even as I'm sitting here. Great movie, one of the best I've ever seen.
Nino is amazing.

definitely one of the main reasons i fell for nino...HE REALLY SHOWED HE CAN ACT IN THIS ONE! as in the topic of the film is no joke..talks about serious issues that affects most of us nowadays...i myself experience these emotions...and sometimes it haunts me...there was no part in the film that i didn't cry and didn't feel what nino and the rest of the cast were giving...nino gave a hands down justice to the role that with his eyes he succeeded in making the audience feel the pain the character goes through....
after seeing this movie..believe me or not, i kept on sighing and feeling really sad on how the movie ended.....and >>>> <<< there were even times i cried whenever i remember the last scene....i even put the pink floyd song in my ipod..whenever it plays i remember every detail of the movie.
then i even told my mom about it..she asked if i can let her watch it when it plays on the tv..i told her that it was not something you see on HBO....so we ended up talking about this movie while driving to a mall one day..she felt sad and was eager to see the movie...SEE WHO SAYS THAT MOVIE'S STORY IS NOT CATCHY ENOUGH...my mom is really hard to please when it comes to movies!! so i was like sure watch it..and when she did she got mad at me..why?? she got mad because: SHE LIKED IT SO MUCH AND WAS MOVED BY NINO SHE ENDED UP CRYING!!!! ....haaay...love this movie.

I just finished watching this movie about a half hour ago. It took me forever to calm down after watching the ending.
When I first started watching it, I thought : OMG! that's Chie, isn't it? and then: They must've had fun filming together again (Nino and Anne)
I think this movie and Letters From Iwo Jima are the best movies that I have ever seen, and Nino is in both of them.
I felt that Nino played his role of Shuichi almost too good. All the feelings that had to be conveyed were and they squeezed at my heart. At the right parts, it also made my heart pound, like a thriller would. It surprised me that I was so drawn into the movie and I had to pause it.
It wasn't as much of a shock as it may have been for some people, cause I already knew that these kinds of things go on, but to actually see it played out was what affected me the most. The fact that these kinds of things go on through people's heads and actually do happen gets me as well. It made me wonder if I would ever be able to do that and if what he did was just brave, or really stupid. (That's on a serious note, too) I always think about these things, but I will reflect on this movie every time I do. Thinking of the why and what for people do these kinds of things.
This movie is definitely not a comedy. 10/10 stars.
*The song about suicide, I think it's by Pink Floyd? It made me cry so hard when it played at the end. For some reason, that song is way too true.*
I'm actually using this movie to drag people into Arashi or at least notice/acknowledge/get to know etc. Especially if someone isn't familiar with japanese stuff or don't have a past with anime and manga (bombarding those individuals with Shukudai or Pikanchi without them used to it might have a reverse effect).
Anyways, on a Polish forum in Arashi thread, people were mentioning that they've seen this movie on tv and they really liked it. So I watched it with my mum (after long hours of correcting the pl subs). This movie made me wonder, so if not for anything else, I would like it just for that reason (I'm sure the other reasons were mentioned already^^)
