Just interesting to know how lingual people are here..
Myself, I'm half romanian and russian and a little bit japanese (my grandma), but I can only speak basic russian unfortunately, although I would have wanted to be able to speak romanian.
And of course swedish, english, a bit italian and latin, and japanese.
(My major at highschool is languages )

I started out speaking korean, but now English is my first language. Korean is second, I'm pretty fluent, I just suck at writing and I can read but i don't always know what I'm reading I guess I can count Japanese a little now, and I've been taking French for 3years at school.
Danish, I used to speak Danish quite fluently...but now i'm kinda forget most of the words, but I can still do the pronouciation. And say goodbye to Chinese...I'm very bad at it...= ="

Woah, danish how come? Then you can probably understand me if I started chattering in swedish.. cool!
Korean is such a beautiful language I think... it's not like anything you've heard before. And the UFO sign writing, that's just too cool.

well...I used to sneak around your Swedish room in Subarashii sekai...and yes, actually I can quite understand what you have written down about in Swedish.(but my reply will be forever Danish, though LOL)
Actually when I was in Denmark, I had learnt Korean by myself as I've borrowed some books&cassettes from the public library and kept on learning those, at least I still can understand its characters and pronounciation, but I don't really understand the words' meaning for the grammars. And it was such a small period I've worked on Korean...
But indeed, I started recognizing Korean because of its UFO thingy!! And it was because I was very "Baby VOX mania" back during that year in dk. LOL (I had a bit swedish novel class too, back then...but honestly Danish was too much enough for me so I didn't pay much attendtion on how to readh swedish....but still we can actually understand eachother! )

WOW! I so envy you all for knowing so many languages. All I know is Tagalog (my first language) & of course English. I was also trying to teach myself Japanese by buying some CDs, but I found it really hard & it got really boring so I gave up. Instead, I just pick up a few things through animes & doramas.

I was born in China but I never went to school there. I only went to school in the US. So I'm fluent in english but illiterate in chinese. I can speak basic cantonese but I can't read or write chinese. I wish I could learn. I can also understand basic italian.
Anybody can pick up a book and learn a language from there but the best way to learn any language to to have somebody fluent in that language that you can have conversations with all the time. Even if you learn the language, you won't remember it if you don't use it.

Oh yeah, that's right I remember! Haha, it wasn't even that long time ago.. almost embarrassing
Oh, yikes really? You learned it from cassettes? Isin't that hard?
Hmm, maybe they have that at our public library... would be great to learn some other korean words and sentences than just "Saranghe" or "Joboseiya" (Pretty sure my spelling was off there, but who cares..)

Wow!! It's awesome that you guys can speak so many languages!! The only thing that I'm fluent in is Enlgish. I'm taking Spanish in high school and I'm ok at that. I can understand, though it may take me a little time to figure out how to respond.

where do you speak tagalog? i have never herard anything from this language
Tagalog is a language we speak in the Philippines & ever since my family & I migrated to America back in November of 1986 my parents made sure that my onii-chan & I never forget our own language. And of course, English is the second language for us Filipinos. I just wish that instead of English as a second language I want it to be Japanese, but I never knew that I would be so into Japanese things later on.
