Arashi's new prime-time TBS variety show aired tonight for the first time. This is a show where each member introduces unknown facts or behind the scenes knowledge about a wide variety of matters.
The first episode had Matsumoto-chan introducing the secrets of Disney World, Ninomiya-chan introducing unknown facts about convinience stores (like why bugs never seem to be flying around in the store), Ohno-chan talked about optical surgery that involves using your own teeth and finally Aiba-chan discussed the little known facts of bomb diffusion!!!
What did everyone think of the show? I found the first episode quite interesting... especially O-chan trying on ballerina shoes!! How small must his feet be!! And he could stand on point! Erai, ne!!
And what an added bonus that they all looked HOT HOT HOT in their suits!!
I managed to catch Ohno's and Aiba's part as Keyhole was just not working for me or the broardcaster cancelled transmision.......anyway with what i saw i really enjoyed it and i just cracked up when Ohno put on the ballet slippers and could actually stand on point with them
I hope someone will upload it soon so i can se the rest
I agree that all looked really really really handsome in their suits also i hope it gets subbed as well

Ok! Just watched the first episode.
Since the 'himitsu' were a bit either risky or out of country, Arashi wasn't on site.
Next week however, it looks like Arashi (Nino anyway) will be on site at location so it might be a bit more exciting.
I really liked it though! Honestly, it was significantly more interesting than GRA even though it was kind of the same idea (learning about new things) but it's still more D no Arashi-like than not...oh and I love the whole "Oo Arashi" if they do well!
And when they say, "[insert name]-chan~" is really adorable. I think if the show has more Arashi going to locations and more funny interactions on the set, it'll do just fine.
Unrelated but...am I the only one who wishes Nino too his Himitsu no Arashi-chan ID picture AFTER his cut his hair?? >.< It's so distracting. LMAO

Speaking of Nino, did anyone notice that his hair was long in the show but short in the VTR? XD I thought that was a bit amusing.
And I didn't think the stuff they were doing was all that risky aside from Aiba's bomb thing. Nino certainly could've gone to a convenience store. I just hope we'll actually get the boys going on location next week because honestly, just watching the VTRs alone reminds me way too much of high school. It's interesting, but it would've been more interesting to have the boys actually there. And hopefully, they might start going on location together too since it's always fun to see member interactions.
As for the "-chan" thing, I was actually a bit disappointed since I thought it would be the boys themselves addressing each other with "-chan" but they didn't. Though it was kinda funny since the voice calling each of them reminded me of a teacher calling up a student.
I also think it'd be more fun if Arashi could go back to the days of D no Arashi and make it into a competition of sorts with their presentations. They already have the guests to judge them so all they really need to do is break up into teams with the final remaining member hosting the show and doling out the platforms/badges.

I guess by risky I meant like it's possible they could not be be allowed in some of those locations. It's not unseen for an outsider to watch a surgery but it's not exactly sanitary either. Also the bomb diffusion was dangerous for sure as you said. Those were the only two I made in mind though - I wasn't entirely referring to the convience store though. That'd be...weird.
I think they may be edging in to being more competitive. I think it'll evolve as viewers start asking more questions and more ideas are developed.
actually, i fine it's kinda boring to me. I guess, it because of the VTR thing plus i dont know any Japanese...so while i watched this show...somwhow i think about GRA, which i like GRA mroe than this show...why? because we can always see Arashi interaction on the show right?
but HnoA just start so, i think, if they hav sometime to spare (which i know it quite hard lol) to go on location, then the show would be mroe fun...coz Arashi reaction is always the best and amusing, even they put an act...it still seem real lol...
so i cant wait for next week, on how will they deliver the knowledge...i only like this type of show if the MC is interesting after all...and since it's Arashi so...i think something good will come eventually ne
I just finished watching the first episode of HnA .. and I think it's alright. I only understood bits and pieces of what they were talking about so I felt just a little lost (but then again, seeing the VTRs would be enough to get the idea |D).
Hopefully we get to see the DnA side of Arashi come out in future episodes! :DDDDD

I loved it when Ohno put those ballerina shoes on & started spinning. He was so funny/cute. I was also on the edge of my seat while I watched the bomb diffusion part. I still wish it had subs so that I can understand things better, but it still looked interesting.

It'd be nice if that were so. Well, it's still early in its production run so there's plenty of time for improvement. The preview at the end of the first episode showed Nino on location so at least we'll have one Arashi member on location for the next episode. Plus, I saw some more Riida-kawaiiness in there too. :d Eventually, I hope they'll start sending Arashi out in pairs or threes or, better yet, as an entire group. Jun did mention that there were a lot more secrets left to Disneyland and all the members were like, "I WANNA GO!" so maybe it's a possibility? XD

The tooth in the eye thing was pretty interesting and I really enjoyed Ohno in the ballet slippers! It was ever so cute when he started fluttering his hands. :-)
Still have to find the translation somewhere, though. Looking forward to seeing more.
Last night's show had some good moments... Ohno trying out as a till operator and Nino lounging about in Business Class!! But O-Chan didn't get to present a secret!!!
I wish that there was more location filming!!! Sho presented Aquarium secrets.. it would have been so great to see him on location there!
