So....all Arashi fans have seen that famous clip at one point or another. Aiba-chan reading his letter to the members and crying, making Jun and Oh-chan cry along with him during the 24hr TV where they supported various individuals with disabilities.

The Second Time is an Olympic Year again! Arashi as the supporters for Nihon TV's "24 hr TV"

Arashi will be the main supporters for Nihon TV's "24HR TV 31 Love will save the world" which will be broadcasted on 8/30 and 8/31!

Their second challenge since their first time 4 years ago. They're at it again in the Olympic year.

This year the theme is "vows" and will report "the Earth and people today".

Sakurai Sho (26) said "This year again is the year of the Olympic and we will also be having summits, making it a year where vows and promises will be exchanged. I hope to exchange many vows that will lead us to the future." Matsumoto Jun (24) also said "We will do our best to make it a wonderful day where the viewers and supporters will be awed." The main MC is Tokumitsu Kazuo (67) and Nishio Yukari (30).

Thanks petto for the info. The boys sure are busy this year. They're practically everywhere. I can't wait to see this. I also hope Sho-kun doesn't feel too much pressure w/ his newscasting, Olympics, etc.

This is so exciting, it must really mean that 24TV loved having Arashi there right ^_^ Good for them!

So making vows.... very interesting. I wonder if they will have missions again like they did last time with the people doing music. I can't wait to see how this will work out!

I was wondering the exact same thing. XD It could be Aiba again or a pleasant surprise would be Ohno. I can't imagine Nino, Sho or MatsuJun doing it since they'd be too embarrassed. But since it airs on MatsuJun's birthday, maybe we'll get a collaboration from Sho, Nino, Aiba and Ohno talking about Jun abd celebrating his birthday. big grin

Seriously, this year is really turning out to be an Arashi year. They're everywhere and just when you think they might slow down or that they couldn't get any busier, something new pops up again! Next thing we know, they'll be releasing another single after One Love for the Olympics again. Every time I listen to Hero, I can't help but be reminded of Aiba's letter on 24Hr TV. Another song like that would be just lovely!

Haha, I was about to ask someone to translate that! thanks so much. I'm looking forward to it. I wonder how much they'll talk about the olympics, since Sho's doing the main coverage of it for -insert tv station here-. It could be a pretty controversial subject, but since the olympics will be over by then who knows?

And also.. is there always a letter? if so, I hope Ohno writes one.. but i;m biased because he's my favourite smile

I was actually wondering about that. Is the letter a customary 24Hr TV thing or did Aiba just go and write it on his own? From the members' reactions, I kinda thought he just sprung it on them. But then Jin did the same thing when KAT-TUN was on 24Hr TV so I'm not quite whether someone always does it each year or whether they're just copying Aiba.

another 24hrs, on matsujun's birthday too =) they were awesome the last tme so i hope they'll do well this year too.. knowing arashi, they'll probably go all out and do their utmost best..

i wonder what song they'll perform?
