yeah i agree that graduating from an ivy univ does not necessarily mean that he is really intelligent but the fact that he finished his studies from Keio on time really mean something about his perseverance, discipline, and hard work (which for me are more important than intelligence)...nonetheless, it also mean that he acquired intelligence from his studies... i read somewhere that he never was late or absent for a class (imagine, he's a celebrity yet he has this kind of discipline)
now that someone mentioned it, yeah i've noticed how sho never showed-off his intelligence or being a graduate of keio...he never implied "hey, i'm a graduate of keio so why should i do this ridiculous thing?" but he's always game...he never retaliated when he's teased as baka or weak in sports by saying that he's a graduate...he's just like the other members...there maybe occasions when he exhibits the intelligence unconsciously...he uses his intelligence with an intention for improvement or development but never to show-off...imagine if he is such a show-off, arashi would never last (other members would have left him)...
i think he is quite intelligent, disciplined, and hardworking.
i really like the fact that he still pursued a college degree even though he already has a full-time job doing what he loves to do. i'm sure it was not easy for him but he managed to do both quite well.

I wonder if he ever aim for some thing bigger than we might think?
We always think that Sho is doing all his education stuff for his family and because he had something to prove...and we can see that all he wanted to prove were proven..
But the way he's manipulating it now (as being a newscaster and everything..) It made me think that he's probably did it because he wanted to do it too..and maybe he REALLY were interested in the course..haha!
Just asking..can someone like Sho aim to be a minister or anything..?LOL
I mean his father is a politician I wonder if that ever influence him too..(since his parents high education level that have huge impact on him right..)
I really have no idea about the system.. but somehow it made me wonder if Sho is ever interested in politics..
As funny as it sounds I can definitely imagine him being the Minister of...economics affair or something..LOL
Just looking at the person as he is (especially when he's in his serious mode :P) and what he had done.. makes me feel like he can do anything..hahaha
Sorry if that was off topic or too ridiculous...
Anyway, Sho's education is just sugoi..
no doubt, no doubt..*saying it like Sho did in A Day In Our Life*
aaang, sho-kun's education! omg, i fell in love with him even more when i learned he went to Keio University :O~..maybe i'm being this asian nerd, but A HIGH CLASS EDUCATION IS THE HIGHEST ASIAN HOT THERE IS! XDXD
haha, i heard that sho-kun was quite annoyed with these fans following him to his university tho..cuz it was bothering both him and his colleagues...so one day, he gathered his friend, and when one fan-girl came screaming, he encircled the girl with his friends and frightened her! XD..o sho-kun, u and ur genius ways..

i always wonders why sho-kun seems to be too modest in their tv shows.... he's always last with whatever their competing... be it sports, cooking or just some dorky experiments.....
maybe they just want to balance his image because he's the one with the high educational attainment....

If I can think of a reason why he's so bad at cooking.. probably because he came from a well off family.. so I don't expect him to be cooking much, I can even imagine his family having a maid or something...(remembering the fact that he don't even know what breadcrumbs are made of~lol)
And... I think Sho works so well under pressure when it comes to sports... eg: YTM tokyo friend park and not forgetting his Chesto legend XD.. but when there's no pressure it's just fun to watch him take it easy and have fun with the others~<3
But, who knows, maybe he don't want to have the "I'm-smart-keio-boy-and-I'm-excellent-at everything-else-too" kind of image either...
Hmm.. now I have no idea where I'm going with this...
I didn't know he wanted to go back for his masters. Yikes! I can't imagine trying to juggle all the work I'm doing now with his schedule for Arashi and News Zero and any doramas. Don't die, Sho-kun!
Has he said anything about his plans for after obtaining a masters? It could just be like mine, where I'm studying because it's fun and I want to, but if I were doing everything else he's doing I think I'd hide under my bed and cry.
In any case, I think it's wonderful that he's become such a role model for the juniors. I'm a huge fan of higher education and I think it's awesome that he's been so encouraging for the juniors who decide to go to college. Yay Sho!

No I can see your point, that sometimes even though for the most part having that high education has made him a role-model, sometimes "smart people" don't want to appear perfect because then people just get annoyed with him? Although, I have some really smart friends... and to be honest... they lack SERIOUS common sense haha so it's fun to be around them!
I loved that part in MMA when he was like so surprised what breadcrumbs came from, and I suppose after what you said it might make sense. If he came from a rich family then he may not have ever really been around the kitchen.... awww poor Sho, I'll teach him how to cook!
Well Sho-kun said that his family was against his "idol career" so I'm amazed that he managed both!! and Keio is really one of the best uni's in Japan!!
i'm impressed with him.
not only because he's smart, but his modesty and low-profile attitude.
i just love when he started to do baka things..it's cute.
the fact that he's from a well off, conservative family that was against his debut in Arashi, i'm glad that somehow he managed to overcome it.
plus, he didn't abandon any of it, his dreamed career and his study..and he EXCELS in both
i like the fact that he pursued his studies together with being in arashi. which means that he divided his study times very efficiently (unlike me!) hehe..
but it's a good thing he finishes his education up to university level!

Sho is pretty much the best thing since sliced bread (and I remember that MMA ep! Where he made tonkatsu and got super suprised breadcrumbs came from bread? )
Last week when I was preparing for my mid-years and my piano grad certificate, I kept thinking: C'mon! Be like Sho! Multi-task! Fight-o~~~!
He totally helped me pull through
