Chapter 34
At Least
Second day: Tokyo.
She is all smiles huh?
Arashi looked at each other as their director passed by them with a face so light and a huge smile plastered on her lips. There is no way she was faking it because her smiles reached her eyes and even her movements seemed a bit bouncy. When they entered the main stage of Tokyo Dome, they saw Jenisha enthusiasticaly talking to the staff designing the stage and setting up the sound equipments and afterwards, she ran to the Junior back-up dancers to have an energetic talk as well. She and the dancers were currently clapping in some weird rhythm and bursted out laughing.
The five idols were doing their warm-up routine in a corner to prepare for their dance as they were watching their highly genki director who was now uncoiling a huge roll of electric wire for assembling the stage lights.
"Is it just me or is sh---"
"Yes, she is weirdly happy today." Sho cut Aiba off as he stretched his arms horizontally.
"I think that's good." Ohno said out of nowhere. They thought their Leader was doing his own stretching from a certain corner and were kind of startled to join in the conversation.
"Which is what?" Jun asked just to be sure Riida is in the right track of the conversation rather than being random. Ohno pursed his lips together and pointed it at Jenisha's direction, it was followed then by Aiba's raspy chuckles as he laughed at Oh-chan.
"Why do you have to pinpoint it like that?" Aiba was still grinning when he asked Ohno and all of four of them followed Ohno's gaze which eventually landed at Nino's direction. They were actually getting tired of this scene but here they are again staring into a brooding Nino whose watchful eyes followed Jenisha closely. With that look he was casting on their director, Arashi knew what Nino was thinking. The four of them secretly rolled their eyes at the second youngest. Though they wanted to tell him not to jump into conclusions, its impossible for logic to enter a man clouded with jealousy.
He was sitting on the corner together with Ohno, stretching his feet but his eyes were actually following Jenisha's move. His face etched with seriousness, a frown forming on his eyebrows, and definitely pissed. Well, something in his thoughts made him pissed and stood up from the floor, grabbed his towel and heaved out an irritated sigh.
Happy? Of course, why wouldn't she be happy? She just reunited with her boyfriend on the first day in Tokyo. Who won't be energized going to work after having s**?
"Ah." Jun, Ohno, Sho, and even Nino turned their heads to Aiba who abruptly spoke as if he remembered something and they waited for him to blurt it out. "I heard from one of the staff that she had a drink with the juniors last night."
This time around Jun, Ohno, Sho, and Aiba whipped their heads towards Nino who let out a shocked, "A drink?!" and his gazed went back to the director.
"...again?" He then, added with a soft voice.
Jun, on the other hand, can't help but to chuckle at the news. Though it should be of concern because almost every night they hear their director drink either with the staff or with outside friends, the youngest Arashi thought Jenisha would do anything to be occupied so she could not think of Nino, even if it takes to have a drink with the junior dancers. "They're minors." He stated that fact and wiped off his grin when he saw Nino staring at Jenisha with agitation in his eyes.
"Hai...those boys sneaked out alcohol into their hotel rooms and they invited her in. She joined them and she told the staff who told me that Jeni-chan was totally wasted when she went back to her room around 4:30 in the morning. That's why I can't believe how she can be so genki today, she's suppose to have a hang-over right?" It was Aiba's turn to chuckle after his continuous story-telling but this made Nino frown even more. Though he is pissed by the idea that Marco and Jenisha reunited in that hotel room, her subsequent drinking bothered him.
"She's not a very good example to the young ones is she?" Sho shook his head as he too, chuckled at Jenisha.
"Ohaayo Arashi!" Jenisha approached Arashi's corner at the stage and grinned at them.
"You look happy today ne?" Jun said and at the corner of his eyes, he saw Nino dumping his towel on a duffel bag with a bit more of exerted force.
"Don't mind me. I have a bloody headache but I feel fine." She whisked some hair away from her face but the grin did not disappear. The four Arashi stared at her dumbfoundedly and Jenisha curiously frowned towards Sho who was slightly shaking his head.
"Then you must be very fine." Sho said. Jenisha raised her eyebrow by what Sho said and decided to dismiss it. "Well anyways, can I meet all of you at the dome's ground around 4 this afternoon?" She asked them. Though she's been trying to be nonchalant about Nino's presence in the room, she can still feel his stare.
"What's up?" Ohno asked. "You've checked our schedules huh? Good timing, we don't have anything at 4pm." He then added with a grin.
"I know that's why I want to meet you, just you know...additional baka shots of Arashi." Jenisha replied and the five idols can't help but to stare at their director suspiciously.
"What is it with this time?" Jun shot a suspicious smirk and squinted his eyes at Jenisha. Their behind-the-scenes shots mostly comprised of baka scenes with Arashi interacting with their families, a bunch of wild geese, in a farm near an airport where airplanes take-off just a mere 20-50 feet above their heads and could not hear a thing, in a science interactive museum where huge mirrors distort their faces, inside a gay bar, and other weird places and things which Jenisha had requested for Arashi's shots. Those stuff they went through under Jenisha's orders effectively brought out Arashi's natural baka-ness, curiousity, the usual bickerings seen on television, etc. all unscripted and spontaneous.
Jenisha grinned even more before answering. "Oh, you'll like it." Arashi doesn't like the tone of her mischievous voice. "...its going to be fireworks. I ordered some and I've chosen really loud ones. I was wondering if we could light it up at the dome's backyard and shot some scenes."
Aiba's face lit up upon hearing this. It sounded like a very fun thing to do in the middle of preparing for the final show tomorrow night.
"Oi, you're excited again and then when its there, you'll be the first one to scream or to runaway." Sho eventually noticed Aiba's instant genkiness. It was usually Aiba who gets excited when they needed behind-the-scenes shots, thinking that it might be a good experiment or a fun activity. He was enjoying at first but always ending up shrieking the hell of out of him or running as fast as he could, like the four geese who ran after him.
"Okay, we'll be there." Jun nodded towards Jenisha and gave her a smile.
"Alright. I'll see you then." Jenisha nodded as well and the other Arashi noticed how her eyes glided at Nino's direction before she walked away from them.
"Fireworks huh? What do you think?" Nino asked the moment Jenisha was gone. He doesn't quite trust most of Jenisha's ridiculous choice of set-up to film Arashi's behind-the-scenes segment. He always knew what would be her plan before she even relay it to her staff since they were always together. But this time, the fireworks idea seem subtle unlike from the other stuff she ordered which were a bit weird or extreme.
"Fireworks seem okay." Sho pondered on.
"She said she bought really loud ones. Would THAT be okay?" It was Jun who pointed it out.
"I'm certain though, those kinds are not like the ones we did on Shukudaikun." Nino said and hooked his gym bag on his shoulder to prepare for the actual rehearsal.
"How did you know?" Aiba asked out of nowhere. Ohno chuckled and gently nudged Nino beside him. "Because somehow, they seem to have a one-track mind." Riida said referring to Nino and Jenisha.
It made Nino smile.

"Uh....you're 5 minutes late."
Arashi arrived at the backyard of Tokyo Dome where 3 of their cameramen were waiting together with Jenisha who was dressed casually for today's activity.
"Huh?" Aiba's face conveyed confusion but Jenisha just grinned at them and began rummaging into a huge brown paper bag.
"The technicians just finished assembling the fireworks display for tomorrow night's show, that's why I had the inspiration of shooting your last baka behind-the-scene shots with firecrackers."
"Why do you always say its baka?" Sho asked curiously referring to how Jenisha call their behind-the-scene segment which is different from backstage shots.
"Because it always turns out to be like that right?" The director replied and she was holding a three foot long firecracker wrapped in a yellow cellophane on her right hand and on the other, she held up a red stick which was two feet in length. "Anyways, choose which one would you like to light first."
Jun, Ohno, and Sho examined the two types of firecrackers which Jenisha showed them while Aiba and Nino went to examine the contents of the brown paper bag.
"I think I like this one." Jun touched the one in the yellow wrapper while Sho and Ohno agreed. Jenisha further grinned by the choice they made and blurted out a tiny bit of warning. "Are you sure? This one is really loud."
"What is that called?" Aiba said as he and Nino approached them and scrutinized the firecracker.
"This one is called Judas' Belt and just like what I said, this is really loud. This will last for approximately three minutes."
"Alright, bring it on." Sho grabbed the firecracker from Jenisha and placed it on the cemented ground.
"Guys you have to stand back while lighting this one, it can be dangerous. Takanaga-san, Mori-san, Kagura-san you may start shooting while they light the firecrackers." Jenisha instructed the idols and the camera crew and handed a long pole with a candle on its tip to use as a lighter.
"Who's going to light this thing? and why the heck's the lighter really long?" Jun got the pole while Nino lit the candle.
"Why do I feel like this is going to be scary?" Aiba whispered while he stared at Jun and Nino positioning the pole near the wicker of the firecracker belt. All of them distanced themselves, even Jun and Nino were just bending over to light the belt taking Jenisha's warning carefully. The three cameramen started shooting the scene of the idols while they await for the Judas' Belt to light up.
"YABAI!!!!!!!!!!!"
Arashi was nowhere to be seen as each of them ran into different directions as the Judas' Belt started its riot. Jun, Nino, Aiba, Sho, and Ohno took separated ways of running away from the firecracker as its continuous explosion boomed around the backyard of Tokyo Dome. The cameramen were chasing the running idols as well with Aiba's shrieking can be heard all over the place.
"MECHA DANGER!!! VERY VERY DANGER!!!! HONTOU NI!!!!" Aiba screamed while covering both of his ears. All of them were covering their ears at the booming sound of what seem to be an unstoppable machine gun and the on-and-off bright yellow light from the firecracker dominated the backyard.
"This is loud!" Jun mouthed at the camera as he covered his ears. Ohno and Nino were laughing their asses off at Sho who crouched down at one corner covering his ears and definitely not moving.
Three minutes of defeaning explosion from the Judas' Belt brought sighs of relief from the idols and from the camera crew who weren't able to cover their own ears as they take shots of the idols.
Aiba was bending with his hands on his knees as he panted and stared at the heaps of mess that the firecracker left. "Jenisha-chan! That was scary!!!" He screamed at the director and coughed because the lot was covered in smoke.
"Well, I gave you a warning. Seems like you wanted to start with something extreme. Daijoubu Sho-chan?" Jenisha patted the newscaster who looked like he was traumatized as he pinched the side of his ears.
"I think I've gone deaf!" Sho replied in an unusual loud voice.
"Whew! I thought that was fun." Jun smirked at the rest of the members and exchanged high-fives with Jenisha.
"And I think that firecracker is really long! 3 minutes is really long, anyone can damage their eardrums!" Nino complained in this high pitch voice, momentarily forgetting about his situation with Jenisha. Upon hearing this, the director just secretly laughed for she was pretty amused seeing Nino ran as fast as light the moment the firecracker started and though he was laughing at Sho, he jumped the hell out of him when the last piece of the firecracker exploded.
"So what's with the red stick?" Sho asked when he saw Jenisha getting five red sticks out of the brown bag.
"Oh, these are just sparklers."
"Sparklers? You mean the Judas' Belt is the only loud firecracker you bought?" Jun said and was somehow disappointed.
"Uh...Hai. Why? Aren't you satisfied with the belt?"
"Ah! Jeni-chan, no more please! Nothing like that and sparklers would be good." Aiba pleaded and grabbed one stick which she started distributing the moment he protested.
"So...this is just plain sparklers?" Ohno asked as he twirled the stick on his hand.
"Well actually its ki---" She slightly stopped in the middle of the talking when she saw that it was Nino whom she was handing the last piece of the sparkler. "...Its kind of...not plain..." Jenisha continued.
Nino met her eyes and noticed the way she paused when she realized that they were standing really close to each other and handed him his own stick. He wanted to savor every bit of it that's why he responded as casually as he could. "What do you mean by not plain?" His brows furrowed with curiousity and his eyes examined the stick he was holding.
She did not know why but when Nino asked that normal question, it brought relief to her. For once, they were having a casual interaction.
"Don't tell me this is going to be loud as well?" Aiba eyed his stick suspiciously and they did not realize Nino started to light his own.
"I told you the belt is only the loud firecracker I bought. This is actually the kind of sparklers with fireballs. It will shoot out from the stick that's why to be safe, you should be careful in rai---aahh!!!" Jenisha shrieked and all of them saw in a flash that a fireball landed on her and Nino's feet.
"Itai!...itai!!" Nino shouted at the same time. "Sugoi!!" Sho said and the other Arashi lighted their own sticks. Another fireball fell near their direction and both of them jumped up and down and looked like they were doing a weird dance to avoid the fireball. She stared at Nino with a shocked face and automatically whacked him on the head.
"Baka! Raised it up like this." Jenisha reached for his hand and raised the sparklers up.
"Well, you didn't tell me to raise it earlier!" He exclaimed once again in this high-pitched voice whenever he scolds one of the Arashi. She grabbed his arm as another ball almost hit them on the knees and both of them were doing the same weird dance to avoid it. Amidst all the commotion because of the sparklers, Jenisha and Nino were deeply aware of the physical touch they were having --- her hand on his arm --- it felt good and they just wanted to savor it as long as they can. As long as they continue being casual.
Arashi were staring at them with amusement on their face and Ohno slightly whispered "Does that mean they're okay now? Aiba! Baka!" He shrieked at the end of his sentence when a fireball flew near his thighs.
"Gomen Riida! This is fun!" Aiba exclaimed while grinning.
"You said you'll control with drinking." Jenisha heard Nino blurting it out in front of her. The other members did not hear it because their tension were still up for the firecrackers. "I'm not not drinking." Jenisha automatically responded.
"Liar. One of the staff said you went out drinking with the Junior dancers. They're minors for one."
"Well, they were the ones who invited me." She replied and stared up the sky to look at the blue fireball which flew out of Sho's sparkler.
"And well, you should have reprimanded them since you're the adult." Nino said a-matter-of-factly while picking up the burnt out stick of the sparkler and twirled it on his hand.
"I needed a drink badly." Jenisha casually shrugged. "You promised me that you'll control with drinking." Nino's voice sounded a little frustrated and the banter never seemed to end.
"Since when?" She sarcastically said and turned to him.
Nino stared at Jenisha meeting her eyes. "When we were at the beach, you told me you will not lose contr-----"
His left his words hanging in the air when both of them stared at each other realizing that their little bicker had been the longest casual conversation they had after the long days of avoiding each other because of their so-called break-up. The casual reminder of their intimate moments at the beach brought back the sour reality that they're not together, it pinched a little pain but staring at each other pushed it away. Earlier, she did not stare at his eyes when she was talking to him because she's doing a good job having a casual conversation with Nino and so was he. Jenisha knew that by the moment she stared at those eyes for more than a second, she'll get her defenses down. Nino knew that both of them were having a hard time catching up with breathing, he could tell by the way Jenisha's lungs silently struggled to catch up with her heartbeat and the same goes to him. From that point, he just wanted to let go all of the complications that they were experiencing in their relationship and just grab her and kiss her . The maddening pace inside his chest continued to drum upward to his head.
"Jenisha-san."
"Hai." She answered the unknown voice but her eyes were still glued to Nino.
"Kitagawa-sama wants to talk to you."
Kitagawa...Kitagawa Johnny...Johnny Kitagawa...Nino is an idol of Johnny's...Oh!
The senseless string of thoughts inside her head made her snap back to reality and her gaze turned to Tendai realizing that he was the one who called her.
"H-huh?" She asked and she knew she looked stupid because of her stuttering and her cheeks turning crimson. Jenisha is still aware of Nino's eyes on her.
"Mr. Johnny Kitagawa wants to talk to you. You have to give him a call." Tendai repeated.
"Uh okay..." Jenisha nodded and glanced at Nino's direction before going away. "...goodluck for tomorrow's show." She said in a soft voice and walked out to excuse herself to the rest of Arashi.
Nino watched her disappear from the door heading inside the dome as the smoke from the sparklers obscured his vision. He can't help but to sigh but at the same time, he felt good just having the same old little arguments with Jenisha.
"At least we had a decent conversation."

wahhhhh...updates....thanks a lot....the two....i wonder what happened between jenisha n marco..i hope they broke up and nino will slot in...what is it johnny wanted to talk about..hope it is wasnt about the two..

Showtime
5 Hours before the Big Night
"Hai. Great work you've done for the stage. Arigato Gozaimasu." Jenisha shortly bowed towards her stage crew as they headed backstage to eat some snacks.
She was the only one left infront of the dome's stage and decided to linger around the place for a bit. She sat on one of the audience seats and stared at the stage.
The Call.
The call yesterday from Johnny-san made her all agitated for this show. Though the tour has not ended yet and there is this final show at the dome, Johnny Kitagawa already gave his gratitude for making the tour a success. For her, it just meant that he is expecting an over-the-top closing show and the bestest DVD ever made for Arashi. That was pure pressure. The man knows how to push his people to their limits to be able to do a job.
She immediately removed her fingers between her teeth when she realized that she has been biting her nails out of agitation. Jenisha slumped further into her seat as she stared up the dome's ceiling where different stage lights were assembled.
"Oi."
Jenisha shifted her eyes to the voice but since her neck was still craning upward to the ceiling, all she saw was a pile of ruggedly messed-up black hair.
She stretched her neck first before she turned to the one who called her.
No way!
Her mind exclaimed in a short surprise and stared at him dumbly and open-mouthed.
No wonder I only saw a pile of hair...i forgot his lack of height...
"N-nani?" She managed to utter one word.
"What are you doing here?"
Nino drenched in his own sweat, clad in a tank top and jersey pants with his bag hooked on his shoulder was staring at her with a curious frown on his face.
That look made her confuse.
"H-huh?" Another stutter came from the director who was frozen on her seat with her mouth half open and her hands stiffly lying on top of her lap.
"Everyone is already eating, why are you still here? Aren't you hungry?" Nino continuously said and it took seconds before Jenisha was able to process what he just asked.
Aren't we suppose to be in non-speaking terms?...Well, we did spoke yesterday but that was purely business...why is he doing this now that we're alone...
"Umm...anou...I'm not yet hungry." Jenisha replied and stared at him who was still staring at her in a way that was making her more confused than ever.
"Alright then..." Nino shortly sighed and nodded towards her before he headed backstage.
The moment he turned his back, Jenisha let out a heavy sigh and leaned her head back to stare at the ceiling.
"You know what..."
What the...!
Her head snapped back to stare whom she was staring at earlier, making her almost jumped out of her seat when he spoke.
She thought Nino was already gone.
"...if you continue to bite your nails because you're nervous, you might completely chipped them off. Don't be, you're doing a good job."
And with that Nino finally left the dome stage and Jenisha was left alone for real.
She was on her seat still staring at the space where Nino's figure disappeared and somehow her weak eyes did not escape the small smirk that he gave her when he said she might chipped off all her nails. He teased her and then complimented her all of a sudden.
"He still has that twisted mind after all...at least, that didn't change."
3 Hours Before the Show
"You haven't stopped eating?" Jun was incredulously frowning at Aiba who was already devouring his 5th slice of pizza inside their dressing room.
"Like I said a few minutes ago, I'm still hungry." Aiba replied with his mouth full, ending up spraying some bits and pieces of pizza crumbs into Jun's pants.
"That's so gross." The youngest gave a death glare to Aiba after he smacked him on the head. "Gomon..." Aiba managed to say while laughing with his pizza on his mouth. "Shuuge, giz pizza jelishiuous!"
"You're talking gibberish Aiba-chan." Sho shook his head but stole one bite from Aiba's slice and went back to the newspaper he was reading.
They were just hanging out inside their dressing counting the clock as they wait for their final show of their Arashic tour. After everything has been set for them, all they did was to rehearse three times within that day and after sweating loads off their calories they headed to their dressing room to laze around.
"We've been sitting here doing nothing for two hours..." Nino whispered as he continuously pressed the buttons of his DS.
"As if you would want to take a walk while you are playing your game." Sho smirked at the busy game otaku and Nino just replied with a small smile.
"I'm taking a walk." Ohno suddenly stood up and dropped the towel he was playing around with for the past two hours of lazing off. "Who wants to come?" He turned to his bandmates who were scattered around the messy dressing room and he stared at them expectedly.
After staring at their Riida who has a hopeful look on his face, Sho put down his newspaper and followed Ohchan's lead.
"Yosh...guess we have no choice." Jun grinned at Ohno's spontaneity and ran towards their direction.
"Riida has finally spoken!!!!!!" Aiba shrieked out of nowhere and dragged Nino with him as all of them headed outside the dressing room.
"You're too noisy." Nino went out of Aiba's hold to pause his game and properly joined the other Arashi in walking around the dome.
"Ne...this is quite fun ne?" Riida asked his bandmates with a full smile on his face as they continue to walk. "Ah! This is where the staff room is..." Aiba peeked at the open door and saw some of their staff having karaoke. They don't have work already because Jenisha always cramp their work schedules on the days ahead so that all of them can have hours of rest time before the actual concert.
"Minna-san!" Aiba greeted the staff who were quite surprise by the idols' presence.
"Would it be okay to come in?" Sho meekly asked while all of them entered.
"Of course! Of course! We are just having a little fun."
"Suge...you really rented a karaoke machine." Jun said and one of the staff offered him some tea. "Ah, domo arigatou."
"Our ojiichan here felt like having a walk today, that's why..." Nino patted Ohno-kun's head and bowed to the staff.
"Are? Where's Jenisha-chan?" Aiba looked around the staff room because Jenisha usually hangs out with them during vacant period.
"Anou...she's here a few minutes ago but left to check on something."
"I think she said she was not feeling well."
This got Nino's attention. He recalled his brief encounter with her a few hours ago when she was hanging out alone infront of the dome's stage. That sign of agitation when she was biting her nails made an impression that she might not feel very well. It maybe beyond anxiousness because of the concert.
"Ah...sou ka." Aiba nodded and glanced at Nino who was in deep thought.
"I think we should leave you now ne? Just relax before we start the big show." Sho started to say the moment he noticed the glance which Aiba gave to Nino.
"Sorry to disturb." Ohno bowed to their crew and one of them gave Arashi a bag of chips to take with them. "Ah! Arigato Gozaimasu!"
"Daijoubu, daijoubu! Thank you for dropping by and good luck later!"
Their staff bid goodbye to them as the five idols exited the cheery room.
"You're right Riida, taking a walk is fun." Jun grinned at Ohno and hooked his arm on their leader's neck. As they continue walking around the dome they passed by their back-up dancers who were getting rowdy because of the free time and as well as their managers who were having a relaxing talk in one of the rooms.
"Look!"
All of them turned to the direction where Aiba pointed his finger and saw a tag on one of the doors. "It says director's dressing room...could it be..."
"It could be." Jun nodded and went nearer to the door. They saw that it was open. "I've never been inside a director's dressing room before." Jun whispered as he tried to be sneaky by taking a small peek at the door.
"She has a dressing room?" Ohno asked and went behind Jun. All of them started to become really curious.
"Nino..." The game otaku looked at the newscaster who spoke his name. "You've been in her dressing room before right?" Sho asked and Nino just replied with a hesitant nod not sure where the question would lead to.
"Oh right right! You must have spend some time in her dressing room before ne?" Aiba's voice turned a bit higher and the four of them can't resist to whack him on the head for being noisy. Each member of Arashi were cramped infront of Jenisha's dressing room, looking like idiots and perverts who were about to peep at some girl.
"Is it okay for you if we go in?" Sho asked once again and when Nino glanced at his bandmates he saw that they were highly intrigued and wanted to go inside. He can't help but to roll his eyes at them.
"Hai, hai." He replied and the moment he said it, all four pushed themselves inside her room. "There's nothing much to see in there anyway." Nino muttered as he followed his bandmates.
"Eh?"
Jun, Aiba, Ohno, and Sho softly said when they reached the very inside of Jenisha's dressing room.
"This is not a girl's room." Sho spoke and was looking around the room with distaste.
There were empty cans of coke piled on the dresser infront of the huge mirror while some chips, apples, chocolates, and coffee sachets were in a plastic basket on top of a black cabinet. Nino remembered all the same food that she requested in each of her dressing room for the tour. Those food were the kind that will make her sugar level high so she has enough energy to work.
Jenisha's not really tidy when it comes to her room. The first time that Nino entered her hotel room way back in Yokohama, he thought her room was quite messy for a girl. No wonder Sho, the OC Arashi member when it comes to cleanliness, can't help but to disapprove in the state of the director's dressing room. Nino suddenly felt a pang of sweet nostalgia the moment he stepped inside.
"She has a playstation..." Aiba ran towards the television and examined the playstation 3 player attached to it. "She does play too huh? I thought she's all work." Aiba added.
The idols continue scrutinizing the messy room while Nino was just left standing on one spot near the door. They saw Jenisha's pair of shoes which can be found in the middle of the carpet, different kinds of cds were scattered on the center table and on the floor, her laptop was left open besides the empty coke cans on the dresser, and a cup of starbucks coffee left unfinished placed on top of the television.
"Geez...by the looks of this, our director doesn't have time for cleaning." Jun slightly shook his head as he was smiling while examining a piece of paper with a weird drawing of Pikachu on it.
"Is it okay that we're here when she's not here?" Ohno said after putting down a sketchpad full of written words which looked like poems, while Sho was having a small frown on his face as he continue to scan the area.
"Ah!" Sho suddenly exclaimed when his eyes landed where the sofa is located.
"Nani?" Nino asked and turned to look at the sofa but saw nothing. Sho walked near the sofa and took a peek behind the sofa's arm rest.
"Jenisha-chan?" He softly asked. "Eh?" Aiba immediately ran towards Sho who was kneeling on the sofa with his chin resting on the arm rest and his head bent looking down at the director. "Are? What are you doing there?" Aiba asked as well and Ohno and Jun also went to their side.
Nino on the other hand tried to control to be nonchalant about it however, when he sensed the concern in his bandmates' voices he became extremely curious and went towards the sofa as well. He went near just enough to see Jenisha on the floor behind the arm rest of the sofa and curved into a ball. Her knees were bent while her hands clutched her thighs closer to her chest and her head was pressed against her knees.
"What are you doing here?" Jenisha slightly raised her head to look at the idols who were quizically staring down at her.
"No, we should ask you why the hell are you sleeping in there?" Jun said and crouched down on the floor beside their director. "I'm not feeling well." She moaned and turned to the other side to avoid the idols' stare , most especially Nino's. It is an embarrassing event for her to be seen by the idols looking pathetic.
"The more that you should not sleep on the floor. Come." Jun grasp Jenisha's arm and tried to pull her but she did not budge and pulled her arm out of his hold.
"What do you mean by 'come'?" Jenisha's words being muffled by her hair and the youngest Arashi just rolled his eyes at her short patience. Aiba was already making body signals to the others so that they could hoist their director up from the floor.
"By the looks of your dressing room, lying on the floor is really unhealthy." Sho said and went out of the sofa to crouch down near the direction of Jenisha's head. Ohno and Jun was already positioned near her feet while Aiba was on her left side and pulled Nino to go to Jenisha's right.
"Just leave me alone and take a rest." She continue to whisper and further tucked her head in between her knees.
"Se no."Aiba mouthed and all of five of them hoisted her up from the floor. "O-oi!! Arrrgh....kuso!" Jenisha tried to screamed at them but failed when she felt dizzy being hoisted in the air.
"Cho-chotto matte...I so hate you guys." She moaned when she finally felt the soft cushions on her back and turned to stare at the five stubborn idols. "Why do always do this to me?" Jenisha accused them slightly and closed her eyes. The idols just ignored the director's soft anger to avoid stressing her even more.
"Daijoubu? You look like you're about to puke." Ohno asked when he saw Jenisha's pale face.
"I'm a bit dizzy." She softly replied and her eyes were still close to avoid the flourescent light on her ceiling. Nino was just silently observing her despite that he was beginning to feel agitated as well.
"I guess the headache was aggravated by my anxiousness."
"Anxiousness? From what?" Aiba frowned in confusion.
"From this tour." She was now lying flat on her back on the sofa but was still shielding her eyes from the light.
"You're more nervous than the idols huh?" Jun can't help but to smirk towards their director who just rolled her eyes because of the youngest Arashi's cockiness. "Have you taken anything?" The youngest asked further so that if ever Jenisha was not able to take any medicine, he is ready to grab his medicine box and offer her paracetamol.
"Hai, I did. I think it is taking effect now that's why I'm a bit drowsy."
"Souka...if that's the case, would it be okay for us to hang out here for a while?" Aiba asked and his bandmates were starting to sense his excitement rising. Nino threw a slight glare towards the baka idol because he thought it would be better to leave Jenisha alone to be able to rest.
"Its alright. Just let me lie in here." Jenisha whispered. The presence of Arashi somehow made her feel relaxed and a bit comfortable.
"Though its a bit untidy, your dressing room is homey." Jun further teased her and avoided her hand which was suppose to hit on his arm.
"Whatever. You can play there or something, I'm just going to lie down here."
"I guess it can't be helped then." Sho said and was relieved to see the latest issues of a couple of newspapers lying on the centertable. He immediately grab it and flipped through the pages for him to be updated regarding the current news.
Ohno and Jun and a reluctant Nino headed towards the television set where the playstation is located while Aiba opened a bag of Doritos after receiving an approval from Jenisha herself. He began to munch away with the chips as he sat comfortably on the foot of the couch to watch the Wii players.
"You're playing zombies? Let me see, let me see..." Aiba squeezed between Ohno and Jun as he take a look at Jenisha's different collection. "It's all killing in here..." He whispered because he was actually aiming to find a car racing game.
"Ah! She has one different game...gran turismo..." Ohno read the cd title and examined the game cover.
"Most of her games are really old ones." Jun said when he finished scanning the cds and got the Dawn of the Dead to insert it.
"Jun-kun! Not that! Let's play the Gran Turismo instead!" And once again, Aiba sprayed some bits of Doritos into Jun's shirt while he grabbed the cd from Ohno and gave to the youngest.
"OI!! You're spitting your food on me again!" Nino, Sho, and Ohno turned their to the one who screamed while Aiba laughed his a** off by Matsujun's anger. Jun, immediately transformed into DoS mode, whacked him on the head and shoved Aiba's hand away who was still insistent in playing Gran Turismo.
"Mastsujun, put this in! Zombies are scary!" Aiba exclaimed and continued to tease Matsujun and both of them were making a tug-o-war out of Jenisha's playstation.
"Oi oi oi, you're fighting like five year olds!" Sho scolded the grown-up men fighting over the petty playstation but he was already laughing. Nino rolled his eyes once again and glanced towards Jenisha's direction while he was sitting beside Ohno on the floor near the television. He saw her opening her eyes and slightly groaned when the flourescent light hit her and squinted at Aiba and Jun's direction. She has been definitely disturbed by the commotion.
"Let go Aiba, I'm going to hit you!" Jun threatened when Aiba was holding Jun's arm, preventing him from grabbing the playstation.
"You let go first! Racing is fun than zom---"
"Shut up..." Jenishsa growled when she couldn't take Aiba's breathy voice and Jun's screaming any longer. Their bickering vibrated on the walls of the room and it eventually reached the vein on her head. These idols when someone let them loose, they either run amok or become extremely talkative.
"...the noise is making me more dizzy."
Nino stare at her once in a while to see if she's doing okay. For the whole duration of this tour, she was never sick despite of too much worrying about the actual show. The moment he saw her curved into a ball on the floor he almost let a "Baka! Why are you sleeping there? You'll catch a cold" and when they hoisted her up and saw her pale face, he badly wanted to say "Daijoubu? Did you takee paracetamol already?"
Now, he can't help to bite his tongue to refrain himself from either scolding her or saying something just to make her feel better.
"Oi, get yourself together." Sho scooted closer to Jenisha and patted her knee while offering an encouraging smile.
Nino just stared helplessly at Sho's hand on her knee and ignored the little jealousy creeping in.
"Mah, mah...its pointless to play if we're not playing." Jun said and stood up. He and Aiba finally gave up on their petty fight over the playstation and realized that they need to get ready for the concert itself, as well as to allow Jenisha to relax without the added stress from Arashi.
"I guess we have to leave for now. Maximize the rest." Sho also stood up and patted Jenisha's head this time.
"I'm so ashame...you shouldn't see me like this, I'm your director for pete's sake. Sorry for looking like a chicken sh** and pathetic." Jenisha slightly smiled apologetically to Arashi.
"Oi, that's alright. You've been working really hard as well." Aiba grinned at her before he playfully added, "You've got an hour to rest!"
"Baka! Don't add another pressure!" Jun scolded and Nino wasn't able to resist to whack Aiba's head.
"Sorry for the intrusion Jenisha-chan." Ohno smiled at her and bowed. "Nah...it's alright. Gambatte on the concert ne?" Jenisha grinned towards Riida as she adjusted herself on the couch and one by one the Arashi members went out of her dressing room.
Jenisha was about to close her eyes when she noticed that she was not yet alone. She slowly turned to glance at the one who was staring at her with an expression she still can't determine.
"Anou...s-should you be resting yourself before the show?" Jenisha managed to ask Nino and tried to ignore the fact that they are now alone in her dressing room. They both know that dressing rooms are quite special places for them because they don't need to hide whatever feelings they want to convey to each other. Their most intimate and even their disheartening moments occurred within the confines of their dressing rooms. For the past two days, she can say that somehow, their gaps have been narrowed. Considering that they have been exchanging small talks which looked normal from an outsider's perspective, but every word of it definitely has an implied meaning for both of them. And as she stared at him, Jenisha waited for Nino to talk ignoring the maddening pace on her chest which aggravated her headache.
"Don't worry about me. It's you that should get rest. Why the hell have you been careless about your health?" Nino can't resist to let it out. His own frustrations finally surfaced in with that short outburst and it was so unexpected for Jenisha as well.
"Uh...g-go-gomen?" She stuttered, not really sure if an apology was the right answer. She did not expect that from him but that was enough for her to hope that he still care.
Nino stared at her once again and saw that her face returned to her normal color, though a noticeable red shade have already crawled on her cheeks making Nino's bite his tongue to resist blurting out a tease for her blushing in front of him.
She eventually noticed that Nino was trying not to smile the moment she felt her face burning from his stare. She knew that Nino was trying his best not let out a sarcastic cocky tease regarding her turning crimson.
"I think you should go back." Jenisha said while projecting her voice into authoritative mode - as her defense for her blush.
Nino immediately smirked when he noticed the change on the tone of her voice and offered a small nod. "Hai, hai...and I think you should take medicine right now, seems like you're getting a fever."
"I don't have a fever." Jenisha retaliated. "Oh you don't? Well, your face is so red I thought you might be burning with something..." Nino's smirk turned into a grin as he approached the door.
"See you." He gave the mortified blushing director a salute before he completely disappeared out of the dressing room.
