Finally, it's here, like I promised. XDD This story is based off a manga idea I had 2 years ago, and I decided to turn it into a story! Haha, so here it is! I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed thinking up the ideas and writing it down. X33

Chapter 1;

“W- Whoa, look at all these people,” She said in awe, her eyes widening at the sight of the candidates in the waiting hall. “I don’t think I’ll stand a chance even more now! I didn’t expect this much boys.”

With short, black hair cut in a boyish manner, she wore a navy-colored hoodie and dark blue three quarter pants, and…

She looked lost. No, she didn’t look lost, she was lost.

“Oi, Himiko. Are you sure about doing this?” A voice said behind her, causing her to turn around and angrily punch the person on the arm.

“Ssh! How many times do I have to tell you to call me ‘Arisato’ when we’re not at home, Akira?!” Himiko exclaimed to her brother before shaking her head. “I mean, what if someone accidentally hears you and finds out the truth?”

“Well, you could have just applied to audition for Hello! Project, you know. Then you wouldn’t have to go through all this trouble.”

Himiko let out a grunt of disgust. “Hello! Project? No way, I hate that place, and I don’t want to become some ultra girly girl! Besides, it would make my plan much more obvious since she’s there. So I thought that if I join Johnny’s and disguising myself at a guy, she wouldn’t have a single clue!”

“You’re still going about trying to accomplish your revenge? Wow, you must be really determined, huh?” Aikra said, clearly amused at his sister’s determination.

“But of course! I have to show that no good snobby thing who’s boss, even though she’s older than me! And the only way to do it is by going for this and making sure I pass,” Himiko nodded her head, clenching her fists.

Jun was typing down something on his phone when Aiba approached him and the others. Closing the door behind him, everyone could feel his air of excitement.

“So today’s the day we get new juniors, right? You know what I heard from the others? We’re going to have the chance to become mentors this year! I’m getting excited just thinking about the possibilities of it!” Aiba happily jumped.

“As always,” Sho nodded knowledgably with an amused laugh.

Noticing Nino suddenly get up from his seat, Sho inquired; “Hey, where are you going off to?”

“Anywhere but here, obviously,” Nino shrugged in a monotonous tone. “Besides, I have an important call to make. After that I’m going to take a stroll around the building, and probably head down to where the auditions are being held to check to place out.”

Exiting the room, Nino quickly took out his phone and noticed he had gotten a message. Dialing a number, he proceeded to make a call.

“So, it’s really going to happen, is it?” He said once the other person picked up.

“Yeah. Well, not much I could do about it though, right? Don’t forget what we talked about, okay?” The voice on the other line said.

“Yeah, yeah, I got it. I’ll try and do my best, but no promises there, just to let you know. After all, we don’t know what’s going to happen,” Nino said, starting to walk down the hall as he continued to talk to his friend a little longer.

Himiko had searched her surroundings before letting out a loud sigh.

“Ahh, where do I go from here?! I should have been more aware when I was following Akira when we came here, and I should have asked him to stay until my auditions were over when he said he’d be outside waiting for me,” She said, getting completely lost in thought to the point that when she turned into a corner, she unfortunately knocked heads with someone else.

“Oh, I’m sorry!” Himiko apologized. “I… I didn’t see where I was going and…”

She looked at the person she had bumped into. The stare he was giving her sent jitters down her spine.

“E- Erm, i- is there something w- wrong?” Himiko stuttered. The person just shook his head.

“No, it’s nothing,” He said. “Anyway, what’s the likes of you doing here? You’re not allowed to come here to this area if you’re not working here.”

“It was unintentional… I mean, I came for the auditions and I wanted to find my way out but I got lost and now I don’t know where to go…”

“Well, if you’re looking for the exit you’re going in the direct opposite direction of where it is,” The boy said, pointing ahead of him. “Just keep walking back from where you came from and just keep walking straight ahead; it’ll be easy to find the exit from there.”

“Oh, I see. Thank you so much for the information… erm…”

“Ninomiya Kazunari,” Nino introduced himself with a nod.

Committing it to memory, Himiko smiled as she bowed. “I’m Arisato Tachibana. I hope we can get to work together sometime if I pass.”

As Nino watched Himiko leave, he leaned a shoulder against the wall, his hands inside his pockets.

“Arisato Tachibana, huh? Well, you can’t fool me.”

A/N: Yes, it’s finally here. XDD My apologies for delaying it a lot. I haven’t had the mood to completely finish the first chapter even if I already wrote it down in my book, but now that I have, hooray! :]

Ah, so as you can see, our main character is Himiko Tachibana, who also appears in To Take a Chance, as some of you might know. :3 She disguised herself as a boy to take revenge on a certain someone who’ll be revealed later on. Plus, it seems that Nino already suspects that’s she’s a girl from the very beginning. But how?

And who was that person on the phone he was talking to? All shall be revealed soon in the chapters to come!

Yay! I have a quick question. If in real life you're Tamaki and I'm Kyouya..who would be our Haruhi?

Anywho. Nino is like a more active version of Kyouya who likes games..so he's like Hikaru... sort of. Yesh Himiko!!! Revenge? On whom? ._.

I have another question! When Jun and Himiko meet each other again in To Take A Chance, how much time has passed between this storyline and when they meet again? o-o And if she's just auditioning she must be pretty young, ne? So she has a slight age difference from Jun? Or she could be faking her age too.. xD

Anyway. I can't wait to see what happens w/ Himiko and Nino~~~~

EDIT:: So Nino is our Haruhi? xD So then as Tamaki you would glomp Nino..(if he was a giiiirrrrllll...or if you were a girl and he was a boy...or something like that?)

Chapter 2;

Himiko groaned, swatting away the hand the was shaking her awake.

“Leave me alone…” She grumbled, covering her head with the pillow. “… the sun’s not out yet anyway.”

“That’s because the blinds are closed, Himiko! Hurry and wake up or you’re going to be late in getting your audition results,” Akira exclaimed, pulling the blanket off of her.

“Alright, already, I’m up! Jeez… What time is it anyway?” Himiko groggily replied, rubbing her eyes. She looked at the clock. “W- WHAT?! 11. 30?! I’M GONNA BE LATE!”

“I tried to wake you up earlier but nooooo~ you didn’t couldn’t even hear me!” Akira shook his head while Himiko was running here and there in a panicked fashion.

“I’m sorry, okay?” Himiko sighed, glaring at her brother. “And if you want me to hurry up I suggest you better help me out.”

Jun was checking through the list of the people who made it through. The crowd was also beginning to gather around, the murmurs getting louder and louder as more people arrived. He checked the names of the mentors to see if he was there.

“Arisato Tachibana?” He muttered to himself.

“Matsumoto Jun? Who is that?” He heard a person beside him say. He looked to his side; the person was looking really confused at the name, which surprised Jun. There were actually people who didn’t know him, but he guessed it would be better if this person didn’t know anyway.

“Uhm,” Jun cleared his throat once the person had finished typing down something on his phone. “Are you… Arisato Tachibana, by any chance?”

He looked up at Jun and nodded his head. “Yes, why?”

“Well, it says here that I’m supposed to be your mentor,” Jun said, pointing to his name that was right next to Himiko’s.

“Oh, so you’re Jun! Pleased to meet you,” Himiko said, bowing politely.

“Do you seriously have no idea who I am?” Jun pointed towards himself, earning a nod from Himiko in reply.

“Well, I might have seen your face on TV, but that’s about all I know,” Himiko shrugged. “Erm, so… what are we going to do? I mean, you’re my mentor, right? Are you going to teach me something or… something?”

“Well, I am supposed to teach you some things, obviously. That, and…” Jun looked at Himiko from the top to bottom. “Well, I think we should do something about you’re hair. Maybe dye it another color.”

“D- Dye it?!” Himiko exclaimed, touching her hair protectively. “D- Do we really have to?”

“Look, if you wanna make it big, you have to appeal to the ladies, especially when you’re still new, which means you’ll have to change your hair and all that. Got it? It’s and important point to remember,” Jun pointed out.

“Fine then,” Himiko slowly nodded with a sigh. “I’ll do it…”

“That’s great,” Jun smiled, taking out his phone. “I’ll just be making a quick call and we’ll be able to go, alright?”

“Look who’s finally here,” Nino nodded his head towards the direction of the door. “He’s brought someone along with him too.”

“Sorry I’m late,” Jun apologized, placing a hand on Himiko’s shoulder. “I went to take him to the hairdresser, and I didn’t expect it to take that long. This person here is Arisato Tachibana. I’m his mentor, as you can see.”

“Uwa, Jun! You’re so lucky, you know? We didn’t get anyone at all! I’m sort of disappointed,” Aiba sighed, placing his forehead on the table.

“When this guy found out he wasn’t going to mentor anyone his tension just went down the drain and disappeared like dust,” Nino said, pointing to Aiba.

Himiko sat in silence as everyone else talked. She felt awkward around them, especially around Nino. She could always feel his gaze from time to time, and it was seriously making her uneasy.

“Oh, by the way, are you coming later?” Sho asked Aiba. Jun looked up from his food and shook his head.

“Nah, I’ve got work to do. That’s why I brought Arisato here with me. He’ll be my replacement,” Jun said, and looked at Himiko. “You don’t mind, do you?”

“What? Me?” Himiko pointed towards herself. “Why?”

“Yes, you. Come on, don’t worry about it! If the boys start bullying you, just come and tell me and I’ll make them regret their actions.”

“I hope Jun was joking when he said he’ll make us regret it,” Aiba shuddered.

“Well, it’s Jun. What do you expect?” Nino rolled his eyes.

It looked like Himiko didn’t have a choice, and had decided to go with them as Jun’s replacement, not knowing what was in store for her…

She let out a girlish yelp as she jumped towards the side, promptly avoiding Ohno’s water gun attack. Immediately, Himiko covered her mouth, hoping no one had heard her, and thankfully; no one didn’t.

“That was a close one,” Himiko whispered to herself. She was alreadyd ripping from head to toe and she didn’t want to get any wetter than she already was.

“WAGH!” She heard Aiba scream after getting hit by a water balloon, followed by his teammate Nino shouting on how he “should have been more careful”.

Himiko decided to go and sneak off, and change. No one would probably notice since they were more engrossed in the game than she was. Placing the water gun back on the bench, she headed back inside.

Not long after, Sho decided to stop as well, deciding to give up. The other three continued their game.

“I wonder where that new kid went,” he yawned, opening the door to the dressing room.

“D- Don’t come in!” Sho heard a girl’s voice shout. He stopped in mid-step, frozen at the sight he saw, his jaws dropping.

Himiko was standing there, holding the wet shirt she had just taken off close to her chest in a protective manner.

“Wh- Wha- What…” Sho stuttered in utter confusion.

Then, the both of them opened their mouths at once and screamed on the top of their lungs.

“AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!”

A/N: Well, there you have it, Chapter 2! And yes, it's only the second chapter and already her identity is 'found' but don't fret, not everyone will know that she's a girl. Plus, a surprise from Nino in the next chapter! What could it be?

Chapter 3;

Himiko slumped lower in her seat, the stares the boys were giving her making her very uncomfortable. If only Sho and she hadn’t screamed so loudly…

“You mean to tell us all…” Aiba gasped in shock after staring at her with a very awkward expression.

“That you’re…” Ohno continued in the same manner as Aiba.

“THAT YOU’RE ACTUALLY A GIRL?!” The both of them chorused together. All it took was a slow nod from Himiko to give them her answer. The both of them then turned to look at Sho.

“Why are you looking at me like that?! I’m telling you the truth! I saw it with my own eyes, and you guys saw it too, didn’t you!? So why are you looking at me as if I lied to you?!” Sho protested. Shaking his head, Nino stepped in, his arms crossed, and looked over towards Himiko.

“You know, you should’ve been more careful. At least you’re lucky it’s just us that found out.”

The tone of his voice surprised everyone, even Himiko.

“Why does it sound like you knew about this all along…?” Aiba suspiciously eyed Nino.

“Because I did, that’s why,” Nino rolled his eyes. “Right from the start. Well, it’s not like anyone else would have known she was a girl anyway, but I did, and I always knew she was a girl since I first bumped into her when she was lost during the auditions.”

“That’s Nino for you. Being able to tell things that other people normally can’t or wouldn’t,” Sho joked under his breath. Nino had heard what he had said, but decided not to let the real secret spill on how he knew.

“I never expected this to happen…” Aiba sighed, scratching his head. “How should we tell Jun?”

“Simple: We don’t tell him. Its better off that the four of us know Arisato’s secret already, and this is Jun we’re talking about. Imagine his reaction if he found out,” Nino said, taking charge of the situation. “Look, just act like nothing’s wrong when he’s around and Arisato’s around too, got it? Other than that, we don’t need to play pretend when it’s just the four of us with her, got it?”

“Are you okay with this?” Sho asked Himiko, who nodded her head.

“Just as long as he doesn’t find out I’m fine.”

“Then it’s decided then! But... now that you mention it,” Aiba looked at Himiko curiously. “I know it’s rude but may we know your real name? You know, to make life easier.”

“It’s Himiko.”

“Hey, wait up!” a voice shouted from behind. Himiko turned around, her eyes falling upon Nino who was running up to her. She waited for him until he stopped by her side. “Let me walk home with you today.”

“Oh, sure,” Himiko smiled as the two began to walk together. “By the way, how did you know I was a girl all along? Seriously, something really suspicious about the way you said you knew all along.”

“I dunno,” Nino shrugged with a mischievous grin on his face. “You’ll find out soon enough though.”

Himiko stared at him. Noticing what she was doing, he looked at her and asked what was wrong. She shook her head in response as the two continued to walk together.

There’s something funny going on here, definitely. She thought to herself, glancing once more at Nino who was still grinning to himself, humming a random tune.

“Well, here’s my home,” Himiko finally said after walking a little further, pointing to a humble house with a blue gate. “Thanks for accompanying me today.”

“Whoa, whoa, wait. Who said anything about just accompanying you here?” Nino replied, opening the gate himself and letting himself in, walking towards the front door.

“Huh?” Himiko watched him, slightly baffled by his casual behavior

Nino knocked on the door, and waited for it to open. He could hear hurried footsteps approach, and he couldn’t help but grin wider.

“Himiko! Don’t you know what time it- …” Akira paused when he saw Nino’s face instead of his sister’s. “Kazunari?! What are you doing here?!”

“I brought your sister home, that’s what,” Nino said, nodding in the direction of Himiko. “It’s our fault she came home late, so don’t get mad at her, okay?”

Himiko looked back and forth between Akira and Nino who were both looking at her. Thousands of questions were running through her mind but the only one that managed to come out was;

“You two know each other?”

A/N: And so, the hint on how Nino knew that Himiko was a girl all along has appeared (in an obvious manner too). The other two found out because she and Sho screamed too loudly and now they've got to keep it from Jun, which makes me feel sort of sorry for him, but he will find out later in the most unexpected way, with dire consequences.

Chapter 4;

Himiko continued to blink in confusion, looking between her brother and Nino.

“Is there something wrong?” asked Nino, raising an eyebrow.

“You two know each other?!” blinked Himiko, repeating her question and pointing a finger at Nino.

“How else would I have known you were a girl all along?” replied Nino with that signature mischievous smirk of his plastered on his face.

This man is so unbelievable! thought Himiko, quickly grabbing her brother by the arm once they had gotten into house, slamming the door behind them.

“Why’d you tell him?!” whispered Himiko in a harsh tone.

“I… I was just so worried about you so I called him up to help me keep and eye on you!” said Akira, defending himself. “Please don’t be mad at me! I only did it for the greater good!”

“Yeah, but-” HImiko paused for a moment to think. She had almost spilled the beans that there were other people who already knew about her secret after what had happened earlier today, but she figured Nino did ‘help’ after all, in a way.

“Kazunari’s a good guy, Himiko, don’t worry,” reassured her brother, ruffling her hair. “Well, as for me, I’m off the set the table for dinner. Do keep our guest accompanied, okay?”

“Piff, fine,” sighed Himiko, heading to the living room.

She found Nino lying down on the sofa, playing with his console intently. Shaking her head at him, Himiko approached him, her hands on her hips.

“I know you’re a guest here but please don’t do that. It’s rude, especially when you’re in someone else’s house.”

Giving an apology, Nino put his legs down and sat up, allowing Himiko to seat herself beside him.

After a few moments of silence (as Nino was too engrossed in his game and Himiko got carried away by a program on the television), she asked about what sort of person her mentor was.

“Well, he’s a nice guy, really,” replied Nino, his eyes still on the game. “Nicer than what you’ve seen on TV actually.”

Just as Himiko was about to reply, Akira had stepped in at such an unruly timing to announce dinner. She shrugged it off. Nino probably didn’t need to know that she never really knew about them anyway.

Jun tapped his fingers on the table impatiently, glancing at his watch occasionally every now and then. He was running late. Or perhaps it was just Jun himself that arrived too early.

His eyes caught a glimpse of a figure approaching his table in a hurry. Finally!

“You’re late, you know that?” exclaimed Jun, walking up to Himiko.

“Ugh, I’m so sorry!” apologized Himiko, bowing. “It’s just that I got lost looking for this place and-”

“Doesn’t matter, as long as you’re here now! Come on,” Jun shook his head. Taking her by the hand, he led her into the building.

Himiko wouldn’t be lying if she said she was very nervous, mostly due to her secret. Everytime there was a wardrobe change, she would insist that she should change alone, and didn’t need any help.

“Okay, final shot! Turn you head a little more to the left please… and done! Perfect!” The photography director shouted, warring up her first photo shoot.

After the shoot was over, Jun had invited her to join him for lunch at a nearby café, an invitation she kindly accepted.

“Well, was it nerve wrecking?” he smiled.

“Yeah, sort of,” admitted Himiko, her cheeks turning slightly red.

“Ah well, you’ll get used to it. Oh, did you have fun yesterday with the boys? What happened?”

Himiko’s ice-cream almost dropped from her spoon as she hears his question.

“Er… yesterday? Oh, haha… yeah, it was fun! The boys are… ahm… interesting,” said Himiko, shifting uncomfortably in her seat, remembering the events that took place yesterday.

Her eyes fell upon the front door, and she noticed a group of girls walk in. Panic began to arise when she recognized one of them. Himiko quickly grabbed the menu and hid herself.

She heard the group walk right past her, the laugh of the girl Himiko recognized irked her to the very bone. Once she was sure they were gone, Himiko put the menu back down and gave a sigh of relief.

“What’s the matter?” asked Jun in a concerned tone, watching as Himiko glanced behind.

“Hm? Oh, nothing! I was just… looking around, that’s all!” laughed Himiko, trying to sound as convincing as possible.

Kidding aside, that was one close call for her if she was recognized by the other person.

A/N: Jyan, Chapter 4! Here, as you can see, we have some sort of hint! Can you guess what it is? XDD

And as for Akira, he’s the sort of brother who can be a little too overprotective. That’s the image I’ve had of him ever since I created him, especially because they don’t have any parents, which resulted in Akira assuming their role. So I guess it’s only natural he’d become like that, right?

Chapter 5;

Himiko thanked Jun for treating her lunch. Insisting that he’d give her a lift home, she declined kindly, saying she’d prefer to go home by herself.

In reality, Himiko would have loved to have taken a drive home with Jun because it would have been much more convenient. However, she had other plans on her mind other than just walking home.

Because what she was doing caused her to come home later and later lately, Akira had set a curfew on what time she had to be return home, giving her limited time on what she had set out to do.

“I wonder if it’s even true,” she sighed, placing a hand on a cheek, as she peered into one of the shop windows she was passing by.

She had heard from Akira that he had transferred here, although he wasn’t sure whether it was really true or not because it was only a glimpse he managed to catch, but that didn’t stop Himiko from wanting to make sure Akira was right. Once or twice, she too, had thought she had caught glimpses of him, but when she tried to follow the figure, it was no where to be found.

“What in the world am I doing anyway?” said Himiko, deciding to give up for the day and go home. “Going around town like this and… oof!”

Bumping into someone just as she turned the other way, she shook her head and looked up at the stranger, who was already apologizing. Her eyes widened.

“Akihi-”

Himiko stopped herself just in time, covering a hand over her mouth. She was overcome by surprise that she had acted without thinking.

“How’d you know my name?” asked the man. Even though he was only thirty-years-old, there were already visible signs of graying on his hair. He wore a black suit, the collared shirt inside a mixture of maroon and grey, complete with a red tie.

Himiko blushed slightly and looked elsewhere. Of course he wouldn’t know it was her from the way she currently looked. “Erm, it’s me… Himiko, thought I’m not really sure you remember though.”

The man suddenly let out a laugh, placing a hand on her head. “How could I forget? You were the one who kicked me in the shin because I took your toy away from you when you were six. I just wanted to look at it you know!”

“Well… well, I thought you were gonna take it home! Besides, that present was…”

The both of them suddenly fell silent, a sense of uneasiness appearing as a certain memory came back to the both of them.

“It’s been about six years, hasn’t it?”

“Yeah,” Himiko quietly replied, looking down at the pavement. “6 years ago… after what happened… we moved here…”

Akihiko shook his head, trying to shake off the thoughts. Trying to make the situation light up, he looked at Himiko and said; “Hey, uh… listen, if you want to get in touch or anything, here’s my number, okay? I might be busy on some days, though.”

Scribbling down his number on his notepad, Akihiko ripped the page out, handing it over to Himiko. In return, she had written down her number and house address, just in case he wanted to stop by, and after exchanging goodbyes, Himiko went home.

“You know… you should really clean up that desk of yours. It’s so messy!,” said Nino, who happened to be lying down on Himiko’s bed, reading a magazine.

“What are you doing in my room!? How’d you get in here?! The door was locked when I came in, and Akira’s not home…”

“He let me in before he wont off to work, wanted me to keep and eye on you and made sure you came home on time, which you obviously didn’t,” Nino replied, sitting up cross-legged. “Ah, and you should also buy more boy clothes so you don’t have to wear the same thing everyday.”

“I don’t need to be told, okay? It’s not like I’m planning not to get more clothes, you know, and you have no right to go digging in my wardrobe!” Himiko huffed, folding her arms.

“Well, let me know when you’re going then, and we can do the shopping together. Oh, and I called the other guys tonight to keep us company. I already bought the drinks and – hey, what’s that your holding there?”

Nino pointed to the piece of paper Himiko held in her hands. She tried to hide it and telling him it wasn’t anything important, but Nino was just too fast for her today.

“Akihiko Aragaki? Isn’t he that police dude? How’d you get his number, anyway?” asked Nino looking at Himiko curiously.

“What? Do you know him or something?”

“No, but my relative working in the Police Department keeps on gushing about how good looking he is and all that. Tell me, is he really? Good looking, I mean.”

“I dunno, really. I’ve never really thought about it,” Himiko bluntly replied, who had just taken out a fresh set of clothes from the wardrobe. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I want to take a good shower and change before the others get here.”

“Well, I don’t mind. I’m immune to you, anyway, so…”

“Out! OUT!” shouted Himiko, dragging Nino by the back of his shirt and shoving him out the door. “And I don’t want to see you looming around upstairs when I come out to go to the bathroom, you hear me?!”

Slamming the door in his face, Himiko let out an angry sigh.

Acting like this is his home! Who does he think he is?! … What a prat.

A/N: Sorry for the delay in this chapter. XD;; The mystery character from To Take a Chance finally appears and yes, I know his name sounds familiar, but hey, it was the only thing I could think of at that time! Plus, both of them are detectives too. Hmm…

Plus, it looks as though the Tachibana family has some mysterious background going on, no? First is the person Himiko wants to take ‘revenge’ on and second is an event that happened in the past that caused the family to move. Can you guess?

Chapter 6;

Himiko felt something beside her on the bed, which was strange. She never slept with a stuffed toy. Slowly her hand reached out to examine the solid figure on her bed. She felt something that seemed like a lip, and then a nose and---

Wait.

Her eye shot open and she immediately got up. There was another person in bed with her. No, more like; there were four other guys on the floor with her, in her bedroom.

Himiko was just about ready to scream when and arm suddenly grabbed her waist and pulled hr back down.

“Mmppffft…,” grumbled Nino, attempting to nuzzle into her neck.

“What?! No, stop! E- Eeeeeeeeek!” She screamed, shoving her hand into his face.

This seemed to awaken the others as they all got up in a panic and looked towards the direction of Himiko’s bed.

“Himiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh….. Arisato!” shouted Aiba, letting her identity almost spill due to the suddenness and forgetting that Jun was also in the same vicinity as them.

“Nino, get off the poor girl- I mean boy! Right now!” exclaimed Sho, struggling to get up on his feet and running over to Himiko’s bed in an attempt to pry Nino away from Himiko.

Soon, Nino too, awoke to the constant pulling of Sho and Ohno. Realizing what position he was in, he immediately backed off; causing Sho to literally smash into Ohno.

“Wha… what’s going on?!” He said, eyeing Himiko who was now pulling her blanket close in a protective manner.

“That’s what I’d like to know!” She shouted back, looking at everyone else. “Why are you guys in my room in the first place?! Shouldn’t you be in the living room?!”

“But it was so hot last night and your brother’s room was locked! And your room had the cooler which made it so nice and comfortable and…” Aiba tried to explain.

“And? Please explain why Nino was sleeping in my bed as well!”

“Uh; well, you see. It was just a simple game of janken to see who’d be sleeping in your bed with you as a joke and Jun was the one who lost. So then, for some reason Nino just came up and volunteered himself to accept the punishment in Jun’s place!”

“In other words I did it to save your butt,” whispered Nino. “He doesn’t know, remember?”

“But seriously, Arisato…” yawned Jun as he ruffled his hair. “You scream just like a girl.”

It was at that moment Himiko and the other boys looked at each other. Jun (who didn’t get the message), raised a confused eyebrow. “What? What’s with the faces, guys?”

“Oh, oh it’s nothing! I mean, what’s the problem with Arisato screaming like a girl?! Some boys do that, don’t they? It’s just the way their voice is! Can’t help it, can you? Ahaha… ha… Jun! What’re you doing?!”

“I’m taking of my shirt so I can take a shower, Aiba. Do you have a problem with that? It’s not like there are any girls in the room or anything. Besides, even if there was; I’m a guy so it doesn’t matter, does it?”

“Uhhh… yeah, you’re right, it doesn’t! Dunno why Aiba reacted that way, nope, I don’t! Do you?” Sho laughed uncomfortable glancing over to Himiko. She rolled her eyes at him and looked away.

“Nope, I don’t!”

Jun stared at them for a moment as the five people looked at him with stupid grins on their faces. What was up with them this morning? Deciding it was probably not important; he just shook his head and left the room.

““Jun! What are you doing?!”?! Aiba, you’re an idiot!” said Nino.

“What?! Hey; I didn’t mean to say it, okay?! It just came out!”

“Erm, why are you holding your blanket that way, Himiko?” asked Ohno.

Himiko let out a sigh and removed a blanket, giving the boys her answer. All of them chorused with an “Oooooh!” while nodding their heads understandably.

“See? This is why next time; don’t come into my room or tell me earlier if you are! At least if the latter happens then I won’t wear a night gown to bed like I did last night,” Himiko sighed, reaching for her phone as the message tone beeped on the table beside her.

“… Ah?” was all she needed to say in a surprised tone for the boys to divert their attention to her.

“Eh? What’s wrong?” asked Sho.

Himiko shook her head at them. “It’s nothing. I just didn’t expect to get a message… from this person.”

She had mumbled the last three words quietly so the others. Aiba was the first one to get up when he heard the doorbell ring, sending Himiko into a slight panic.

“Aiba! Wait, don’t get the door; I’ll do it!” she tried to shout after him but it was too late. He had already gone downstairs. Sighing in frustration, she wasted no time chasing after him, causing Sho to look at Nino for answers. However, Nino shrugged his shoulders and shook his head.

Akihiko didn’t expect the person who’d open the door to be someone who wasn’t a resident of the house, so he was quite surprised seeing Aiba, not Himiko’s face, at the front door. He didn’t even know who this guy was except for the fact that he was in popular boy band.

“Umm... What are you doing here?” was the first thing Akihiko said.

“I told you not to open the door you idiot!” He heard Himiko shouted from the corridor. Moments later she appeared by Aiba’s side who looked back and fourth between the two confusedly.

“Sorry about this. My brother wasn’t coming home last night so he called his friend— my workmate to come and ‘babysit’ me for the night. Unfortunately he also brought his mates along; like this guy over here, but that’s all there is to it,” explained Himiko, brushing her fringe to the side. “So, anyway; I got your message. What’s with coming to see me so early?”

“Ah, it’s nothing. I was just on my way to work and I was wondering whether you needed transportation to work or something since I pass by your house on the way. But, since your workmates are here you probably don’t need it, huh?”

“I guess not. I’m sure Jun’s going to be the one to take me to work today since he’s sort of… my mentor. Thanks for the offer anyway; I appreciate it,” smiled Himiko.

Akihiko returned her smile, albeit disappointed that his offer was turned down. Maybe he should pick up the phone later and ask her out for a meal if it was possible, he thought.

“Mmm, who was that?” Aiba smirked, nudging Himiko smugly.

“Just a childhood friend,” she shrugged, closing the door.

“Didn’t seem like that to me! He seemed sort of sad that you didn’t want to accept his transportation offer.”

“Aha, listen here, Aiba,” Himiko said, turning around as she reached the foot of the stars. “There’s nothing going on between me and Akihiko. He’s just a friend I’ve known for a long time. Besides, there’s no way he and I will ever get together. It’s… impossible. So you must be imagining things when you say he looked disappointed.”

With that sort of voice tone; Aiba pretty much figured that Himiko harbored feelings for the detective, and had almost ran after just to say; “I won’t tell anyone, I promise!” but decided not to just in case she got mad at him again.

What he did not know, however; was that if he did indeed say that, he would have made Himiko a lot better and it would have also made him feel better at ease to calm the questionable tension that was inside him.

A/N: So apparently the living room was too hot they boys ended up sleeping in Himiko's room. (In the house only the bed rooms have air conditioners/coolers, because her brother's like that). As for the end; yes, Aiba does have feelings for Himiko but he'll probably never come to terms with it, or notice it as more than just a 'i like her because she's my friend' thing. Probably, that is.

Also, the boys pretty much almost gave away her identity that morning, didn't they? XDD~ But Jun just shrugged them off (luckily). He was also lucky enough to not know that she was wearing a night gown of her secret would probably be blown off. But yeah; everything's swell, so far.

As for a biref history of Himiko's family; her mom and dad died when they were little, and besides Akira, she had another older brother; Ryo, who's about the same age as Akihiko (what happens to him and all that will be explored later), then there's Akira, her sister that she wants to get even with and finally her. I guess you could say their age gaps aren't really big.

I wonder what will happen if Jun find out... Jun is known for his temper...haha
