I just DL episode one of Mukodono. I joined the files, then went to watch it, and the screen is completely blank throughout the whole episode. No picture what so ever. Do I need to download it and join it again?
Before you dl again, check your file size. Part one should be 200MB and part two 126MB. After joining, is the file 326MB? When you play the joined file, is there sound? What video player do you use, and have you tried it with different ones? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm not as skilled as Haru in this, and I need as much input as possible

I was just wondering if you had any recommendations for good external hard drives.
I've got two Maxtors, one of which is four years old, and I've never had a problem with them. Whichever brand you buy, get the biggest one possible, 'cause it will fill up faster than you think shopping for 1TB drive now XD

Hmmm...for some reason the second part is 125MB instead of 126MB, and therefore the joined file is 325MB instead of 326MB.
There is sound when I play it. I use RealPlayer to view things. I just tried it in Windows Media Player also, and still had the same problem...sound, but no picture.

I'm having problem unpacking the 7z file for G no Arashi 35.I've already downloaded the zip program, its just I'm not sure how to use it.Can you teach me?
Download and install 7-zip program. When it's installed, right-click the packet file (7z) and choose 7-Zip --> Extract Here.
Im having this same problem with this show. I did get the program like it said and I did exactly what was said with the extract here but for one of the parts it just gives me a folder with a duplicate of the file not extracted and the other two wont even go that far, just error messages about not being able to open the file as an archive or something...is there some other special way of doing this that I am missing?
are you sure you were able to download the whole parts?
Is this refering to me? As far as I know I did...I even downloaded all of them twice to make sure...
Edit: Im doing it a third time just to make sure. I also want to clarify something in case it helps. Ive tried various ways as im very confused about this program. the post for the show itself says first download, then join, then unpack, which i tried but hjsplit couldnt read the files so then i tried unpacking first but the 7z program wouldnt unzip, I dont know if that helps at all or changes anything...
Another Edit: Good News! Third times a charm! Somehow HJSplit could read it this time and it seems now the 7z program is cooperating. Thanks for all the quick responses!

Good to hear.
Here's another long-cut version of the Right-Click as stated in the 7z tutorial for those who need it.
This is with the assumption that the files were downloaded fully and properly, and the 7z program was installed properly.
1. Open your 7-ZIP File Manager.
2. Go to the directory where your downloaded files are stored.
3. Select all files involved (highlight), then click on the EXTRACT button at the top.
4. Done.

Normally I would say you're missing a codec, but those files are old avi and playable on anything. So, my best guess is the second file is corrupt. Try dling again.
There's a couple other things you can try too, if you're curious. Try playing the joined file with VLC player, 'cause it comes with all codecs and can play almost anything. Opening it with VirtualDub might tell you something, as it will detect errors in files.

^ Helpful post regarding adding avatars and banners, you can check here:

Or you can also send me the image you want as an avatar and I'll see what I can do to size it down to 100x100. Just upload the pic you want in any file hosting sites like photobucket, imageshack etc. For a list of image hosting sites, see here:

Things to try:
1. For episode 1, did you dl both SS files? You need part 1 and 2, and you need to join them with HJSplit (

).
2. Is the file the right size? The joined file for ep1 should be 475MB. If it's not, dl and join again.
3. Try playing the file with
