[Drama] Maou -- Ohno Satoshi x Ikuta Toma

I think Oh-chan's character will be really interesting... the fact tat he's a johnny's boy means that they will never let him act as a real baddie sort isn't it?? prob a reluctant sort of baddie who has a good side?? ...

but no matter how they change the story for the japanese version, this is a really challenging drama for oh-chan!! ... i'm so hoping he'll do fabulous in the show, win a couple of acting awards and go on to act in more dramas for his fans!! clapping

He's vengeful. So it depends on how you look at a character like that.

Thank you!! I totally loved Kurosagi as a character! That totally brings up my hopes. I think a character that's neither is cool! Oh my Ohno(instead of oh my gosh, now it's Oh my Ohno!), I'm so excited!!

I really hope Arashi sings the theme song! Maybe it will be all dark sounding or something!

I'm glad to see Ohno acting, but I'm so disappointed they decided to remake "The Devil". The original drama is splendid with awesome cast, and for me it's hard to imagine Ohno playing Joo Jihoon's character. I'm not sure if I'm going to watch this. I love the k-drama too much.

I was a little scared too when I tried to imagine him taking over JJH's role (haha, not to mention JJH is like 6'3'' or something .__. Oh Ohno. You little cutie.) but I think the way to go for it is to think of it as an entirely different/separate drama. I loved the storyline for the kdrama version, and I hope they follow it, but I'm going to do my best not to compare all the variances. Otherwise I might go crazy, hahaha.

I'm really excited to see how Ohno's going to pull it off. I'm hoping he'll make a completely different character from the one we already know for the kversion. xD Ahh, still super excited.

PS I kind of...hope Arashi DOESN'T do the song for this drama. It really wouldn't fit very well. .___. At least not with their usual style.

I know what you mean about their usual style. That's kind of why conversely, I really want them to sing a song for it. I want it to be something totally different then what were all used to. Something that would shock us and make us almost find it hard to believe they were singing.

Riida playing the lawyer in The Devil?! I can't get over it. I saw and love the kdrama. JJH who played the lawyer fit it is so well, that I'm having a hard timet accepting Riida as the lawyer. I was like what the hell?! Riida is Riida. How can he play a the lawyer? The lawyer was very manipulative but with a lot of kindness as well. I have no clue to as how Riida will show that in his acting.

I'm very curious though. I really want to see how Riida and Tomo play the parts. I also want to see what direction the Jdrama takes it. I have a feeling that it will go on a slightly different path. I wouldn't mind that as long as it all fit.

The chemistry between the 3 main actors are very important. The chemistry between the 3 kdrama actors were very strong. I hope the ones in the Jdrama version are just as good.

I'm looking forward to this drama but also dreading it.

I agree with you. I can't imagine Arashi doing a song that matches this drama. Though they might surprise us, but it's difficult to imagine.

well, if that happens, IT WOULD BE TOTALLY AWESOME!!! i mean, they pair up okada and Sho in kisarazu cat's eye song, and kame and yamapi in Nobuta song, so MAYBE they'll pair Riida and Toma for the song

Ohno has shown...more than enough impressive acting ability in his butai, and I'm pretty sure that is why he was chosen. Most people have seen him be able to transform from laid back to (essentially) a passionate fighter or a grieving friend or any of the roles he had to tackle on the stage.

I do not the think director looked at the long list of Johnny's, closed his eyes, and pointed at two people. They were picked for a reason, and the director must have a bit of confidence in them. Also to keep in mind, even Ohno is like what the hell about being chosen. I think that he'll do a decent job because he's not halfassed, but you know I just can't help but think somewhat positively about the outcome.

Frankly, I hope it's not a direct remake. That's boring. I do hope the Japanese version adds its own flair and I hope Ohno takes the lawyer character and makes it his own - while staying true to his character's motives.

I'll be watching it start to end for sure before I even dare give my opinion about it further than this.

I am doing the catch up on the Korean version of the devil right now, its kinda interesting, and I am glad leader is taking the role, and how he gonna handle the straight face without looking like he is spacing out, Eh?
