I can speak Polish and English. And a bit of German too, although I haven't used it for a while now, so maybe it's worse than I think (I haven't had any problems speaking to Germans before, but now? Who knows...). And I could write and read Latin before, but now, when couple of years passed it's really hard. But I really like that language.
Like most of you I'm trying to learn Japanese. No real life course, only by myself and on online courses, so I don't know if it ever gonna work. We'll see. I always wanted to learn Russian, and I hope there's still time for that and many more. But Japanese first.

My native language (Spanish), a little bit of English and some words in japanese!!!...I would like to learn more English because of this forum...minna is super cool and I wanna to have more comunication with you without short sentences or unknown words...everytime I write something I think that maybe everybody is going to laugh because my english is not so good. I love japanese too but I do not have enough money in order to study, for that reason I try to do it by myself.

Just interesting to know how lingual people are here..
Myself, I'm half romanian and russian and a little bit japanese (my grandma), but I can only speak basic russian unfortunately, although I would have wanted to be able to speak romanian.
And of course swedish, english, a bit italian and latin, and japanese.
(My major at highschool is languages )
gah, i want to learn a lot of languages too!
i can only speak two languages fluently, my native language, Filipino, and English :p
i know a bit of Japanese (of course) and a bit of French as well, but only a bit... i hope to be more fluent in both those languages someday, and learn more like Spanish and Italian
My mother laguage is cantonese
-English
-Dutch (learning- its getting better)
-Spanish (only understand, too novela :P)
-Mandarin (only understand)
-XXX (don't want to tell the name, so xxx :P)
I also learned french in school, but I only know some greeting words, didn't pay much attension in class.
I like languages and want to be able to speak many. At the moment I can speak Finnish (gah of course), English, Swedish, German and some Japanese (there was a Japanese class there and I went there for over a year, but now it ended so I'll continue on my own). I'm also going to take up French when I go to high school this autumn. I wanted to start Russian too, since it's pretty useful here where I live, but I decided that so many languages would maybe be too much at once.

My first language is English, but I'm also fluent in Thai (however, I'm still learning how to spell in Thai ^^; ) For the past year, I've been swinging between learning Japanese and Mandarin by myself in my free time. However, it seems like I'm focusing on Japanese again at the moment I've been thinking that I might take up a Japanese course once I start working - finally get the chance to learn it properly
