Hachikuro!
I loved the anime series! Then I watched the movie without knowing who Sakurai Sho was or whatever. Then when the credits came, I was surprised that Arashi sung the theme song.
Sho doesn't seem to fit the image Takemoto makes in both the anime series and the manga. Sho's too fit to be Takemoto! =)) But he's cute there, so isokie ^^;;
I also just finished watching the drama. Toma suits the role better, in my opinion, if we base it on build.
i've watched the anime and the movies that has sho in it.. i luv the anime series and i do think dat sho suit takemoto roles.. because sho is cawaiii hahahahahahah
I agree, Sho was really good as Takemoto, or at least it was convincing ne. Haven't seen Toma as Takemoto though, but as a great actor Toma is, I guess he was amazing.
lol, I didn't even know that Sho was in Honey & Clover the movie, but I haven't seen it yet, I was gonna wait until I finished the Live-Action.
Now I can see who would make a better Takemoto, Toma or Sho, though I love them both!
I never knew this was made into a movie, I saw the drama version and liked that one. Like others have said, Toma played the role well.
I wonder if it is the same storyline, I guess there will always be a comparison as to which actor played it best. I guess I will have to hunt down this movie and see who plays who. I wonder if there are any other movies Sho is in
I've watched both Movie and Dorama... And I must say, tho both version are NOTHING compared to the anime, I love Sho's Takemoto better than Ikuta Toma's... And its a fair opinion, leaving the fangirlism aside...
Toma's Takemoto wasn't as Takemoto-ish than Sho's...
Too bad both badly portrayed Morita... T^T...
But both got equally great Ayumi and Hagu...
I never managed to read the manga or watch the anime, so I thought I'd give it a go, since it was in movie form, so in other words, I wouldn't have to watch episode after episode if it wasn't good. And it had Sho in.
After watching it, I decided that I wasn't going to read the anime or read the manga...Though I did cry at the movie, like a baby actually. I just didn't find the storyline completely interesting. I probably wouldn't be able to watch that movie again.
He was really cute in the movie. His hairstyle plus his backpack and stuff. But honestly, I preferred Toma as Takemoto actually. He looks better in the character. But Sho was really good too! so cute
i never saw the anime or drama series, but i found the movie's storyline quite interesting. it sorta dragged a bit, but i was intrigued by the artistic element that each major character (yes, even Takemoto's not-so-artistic self) brought to the movie.
i totally fell in love w/ the exchanges between Hagu & Morita... while she was painting and he was sculpting <3 even when they were painting that scrap panel outside the studio <333 ("Colors in Bloom" by Rin Oikawa is sweet)
only thing i wasn't so crazy about was the whole YamadaxMayama thing. *shrug* prolly just me.
the soundtrack really carries the movie as it progresses... i just picked it up recently. James Wendt was a surprising find b/c he's not so mainstreamed and did solo tracks especially for "Hachikuro". as usual... Yoko Kano is awesome.
me thinks i'll actually buy the DVD. i would watch it again. but for now, the .avi file plays in the background while i work on my design projects ^-^
