You were still there, on the roof, sitting on the cold ground. How long have I been here? It was already dark, and cold. Yes, very cold. Your body was half-frozen, but you didn’t move. You were staring at the entrance, waiting for him to open the door, to tell you that he loves you, and hug you tight.

But he never came.

After awhile, that felt like forever, you stood up. Every little move hurted like hell. As you walked down the stairs, everything what happened this day re-played in your head. As Ryo threatened you, as Sho screamed at you, as Aiba looked at you, and ran after Sho.

„You know I really thought that you would have some brain in your head. Guess I was wrong. Man, you really believed that it would work out between you and Sakurai Sho? DON’T MAKE ME LAUGH! Who are you, and who is he? Your worlds are miles apart from eachother…”
Ryo's words kept on repeating in your head, no matter how many times you started hitting your face, you could clearly hear it „…miles apart…”

Are we really miles apart, Sho? You sit down on a bench, and looked around. It began here. This place is where I first met you. Everything was dizzy, and your face was burning. Is this the end? Is this how it supposed to end? You opened your phone and started writing.


"Sho,

I wait for you at the park, where we first met.

It has been 3 hours since you arrived at the park, and there was still no sign of Sho. Your face was still burning, and you felt like throwing up.

„maybe I should go ho-„ but before you could finish your sentence, you heard footsteps. You turned your head to see who it is, but suddenly everything went black, and all you could hear was someone screaming out your name.

One thing you know for sure. It wasn’t Sho’s voice.

Huh? You opened your eyes and looked around. This is not my room. Your eyes stopped on something. It was a dog. A stuffed toy. Kawaii~ WAIT! Where am I??
Suddenly someone opened the door and stepped inside. The guy grabbed your hand and started pulling you. When you stepped out of the room, you saw…

But before you could say something, the guy pushed you beside Sho, and stepped in front of you two.

"Just WHAT in the world were you two thinking??? Freaking the life out of me! YOU drank so much that I thought I had to call and ambulance, and YOU sitting outside, while having a fever! DO YOU KNOW TO HOW MANY PARKS I WENT TO FIND YOU?"

"Aiba.." Sho started Ahh, I KNEW THIS GUY WAS FAMILIAR!

"SHUT UP! And to think that YOU HAVE A DEGREE! And now TALK! I'm outta here!" Aiba walked out of the room, but before he shut the door behind him, he turned around and with a serious face...

"You can't do it in my house"

* cracks up at Aiba * Great job, everyone! I just had to pop in every now and then coz things are getting busier toggling subbing chores and RL hoots.

Aiba has been gone for a whole five minutes now yet the two of you were still staring at the door. For all you know, Sho was silently begging Aiba to come back because he did not want to be in the same room with you. You simply wanted Aiba to return because this is getting too uncomfortable.

Finally he spoke and in a light tone, too. "Trust Aiba to translate 'talk' to 'having sex'."

You inwardly winced at his use of the s-word. But when you slid a glance at him under your lashes, he did not look at all sarcastic. He was actually smiling a little.

Sho looked at you. "How are you feeling?"

You noted the blanket wrapped around you. You managed to grab at it when Aiba unceremoniously dragged you out here.

"Better," was all you could say.

"Aiba-chan was up all night, tending to us, it seems. He had to make your temperature go down, and at the same time make sure I don't puke all over the place." He groaned and massaged his neck. He does look hung-over. But still, life's unfair. For someone with a bad hang-over, he still looked every inch the idol that he was.

And you? Gawd, you don't even want to go there.

"You waited for me at the park..."

No use denying it. "And you didn't show up."

"Can you blame me?"

"No." And that hurts. "How did Aiba find me...."

"He said I was mumbling about having to go to a park or something, but I wouldn't tell him where...."

"So he looked everywhere....." You closed your eyes, feeling a wave of nausea. Too embarassing. You must've been quite a sight when Aiba found you.

You got up, bracing yourself for another bout of dizziness. Thankfully, it passed quickly. "That's alright. I get it now. I can take a hint, you know." More than three hours and he didn't show up. You should've gotten a clue when the first hour passed.

You turned around to look at him. He was quiet, too quiet.



"I'll have this thing with Ryo sorted," your began, then decided against telling him about Ryo's threats and the photos. It's your problem to solve. If you were going down, then you won't bring Sho down with you. If Sho wanted to believe that you had a thing with Ryo, so be it, but you won't let Ryo ruin Sho with those incriminating pictures.

You looked at him, your heart aching. "I won't bother you again." Neither will Ryo, you added silently.

Sho was still very quiet as you gathered your bag and coat where Aiba left them the night before. Even when you were at the door, he still did not make a sound, and you dared not look back.

Aiba was leaning against the rail outside the door when you stepped out. He was surprised to see you.

"You're done?" he asked in disbelief.

"Yeah, it was just a quickie," you quipped, faking a bright smile. "Thank you for last night," you added, bowing low before walking off, your steps purposeful.

Time to have it out with Ryo.

A little weak from the fever, but determined as hell to sort things out as soon as possible, you walked the streets straight to where Ryo rented a small flat. All the way, you couldn't get Sho's image out of your head. Everything that happened up until now, his deep voice, soft touch, a gentle smile...



You grited your teeth. Whatever happens with us, I won't let that bastard ruin things for Sho.

Fortunately the destination wasn't far from Aiba's place. He answered the door after two knocks, with an ugly smile on his face. Walking in, you thought about how you used to be collegues and how right now, willingly or not, you hated everything about this man. Things like that shouldn't happen...

Acting all casual, which was making you even more furious, he asked:
"Would you like anything--", but you didn't let him finish the sentence

"No. I want to see those pictures you've taken, if you plan to make any bargains with me."

Ryo did not protest. He brought in his notebook and handed it to you. This is weird. Is that how a blackmailer acts?

"They are in "PHOTOS" folder, take a look", he spoke in his normal tone of voice, like there wasn't anything unusual about your meeting, like you were just droping in for coffee. He even kept his distance, apparently not worried at all you might try to delete them or smash his computer into pieces (which actually came across your mind for a split second).

You clicked what turned out to be an empty folder. Angry, you spoke:

"Stop playing games with me, where are they?"

"Nowhere. The only photos I've had were the ones in my phone. And you deleted them before I could react. But you know what? Screw those photos since I have what I wanted..."
And there it was again - the change in his voice, this face you didn't know until yesterday.

You stiffened, putting the pieces together, cursing yourself for your stupidity.
Two quick steps towards the door.
An arm shooting to grab yours.
Hitting the floor.
A force nailing you to the carpet.
Adreline rushing in your body.

No time to think. You started kicking as hard as you could, biting, defending yourself in every possible way, as you felt hands on you. Everything was so out of control that you almost missed your chance when Ryo yelled in pain at some point, releasing his grip just enough for you to get on your knees and jump to the exit. You practically flew through the corridor, hitting the door of another apartament. Sharp pain went through your arm. Ryo went right after you, trying to pull you back in.

That's it, the end... weak from before, injured and scared to death, you thought you won't be able to fight back anymore.

Suddenly, two doors opened, a man and a woman startled by the noises peeked on to the corridor. As a woman gasped, the guy was quick enough to notice what was going on, grab Ryo and hit him with clenched fist, knocking him out cold. He shouted to his neighbour to call the police and ran to you, but you barely could comprehend his words as you slid against the wall.

...and kind of ending the "Ryo business" (I think). Because Sho isn't actually appearing in this one, I just went with whatever-nice-pickie I could find quickly, so it's completely random XD

With a heavy sigh, you close your cell phone and hold it for a second, reluctant to put it away at that moment. As you stand there, you recall the message you had just left on Aiba's voicemail:

"I just wanted to thank you again for taking such good care of me the other night. I was such a burden. Your kindness won't be forgotten. If you will, please tell Sho.........tell him.......goodbye for me. ::sniff:: I have to go. By the time you guys finish filming, my plane will already be gone. ::sniff:: It was really a pleasure meeting you."

You shake off the sadness and walk toward your suitcases. Taking one last look around your apartment. You had packed about as much as you could and arranged with one of your co-workers to have the rest of your things shipped to you later. You don't know exactly where to go from here, but one thing is for sure: you have to get away.

During the cab ride to the airport, you replay the outcome of the whole Ryo situation and how Sho never called to make sure you were alright. Even when you tried to get in contact with him to try explaining again, he refused to talk. In a way, it kinda pissed you off since you had given in to him begging you to hear him out when you were upset about not knowing he was famous. "Well, at least I found out that he's selfish and only concerned about getting his own feelings across." You try to laugh about it, but tears well up in your eyes.

Finally reaching the airport, you reluctantly take your luggage out of the cab and walk up to the entrance. As you walk in, a familiar voice yells out to you.
"Hmph. Just gonna leave without saying goodbye? That's no way to treat someone you love!" You turn to your right....

"How did you know..." you begin. Sho smirks. "Aiba has never been much of a secret keeper, you know." You laugh and finally allow the tears that had been stinging the back of your eyes to flow.

but i just wanted to say...Dyani, fa~ntastic update. The use of words, the flow of the action there...wow. I got carried with it.

*slinks back to hole of nothingness*

"So what can I say that will keep you here with me?" Sho asked his eyes pleading for forgiveness.

You try to smile but it seems very difficult, then finally you take a deep breath and answer "Honestly, at this point, I just don't know. Sho... things have just gotten so hard for us. Before this life was just so simple for me, all I had to worry about was my cat and my art, I didn't have to worry about having my celebrity boyfriend. I just really want that life back."

"But _____, I still really care about you, I want us to get one more chance and I really don't want you to leave..." Sho said coming a little closer to where you were standing with your suitcase.

At this point the tears running down your cheek stung, the thought of leaving was so unbearable...and yet you felt something tugging you away from this place, so you kept silent.

Realizing your answer Sho sighed, looked at his feet and asked "Where are you going? Do you have a place to stay?"

"Osaka, I have always wanted to go there," you laugh and then added "No, I don't really have any plans yet."

Here is the address of one of my friends in Osaka," he says writing something on a piece of paper, "I'll call him and let him know you are on your way, he will help you figure things out."

"Thanks," you say as you take the paper from his warm hand, "Well... good bye." With one last glance at Sho you turn around and leave.

Two weeks had passed since you had left Tokyo and Sho behind. Sho's friend Shun was so kind, he found you a nice apartment and made sure you found a good job. Things were good! Then one day a letter from Tokyo was mixed in the mail. Seeing the JE address you thought that it was some notice about your ended internship, but instead you found something else;


"I checked with your old teacher and he said you can still participate! I know your art is amazing and I am sure you can win! I also hope that if you win you will come back to me...
