Firstly, sorry this is probably the wrong place to post this, but I'm not sure where else to put it...so please feel free to move this topic unsure

On Sunday, I bought DVDs of AAA con and Yamada Taro Monogatari. After watching the first episode, I realised something as I saw the credits. The credits said that it had been subbed by the STORMY team! Translation aatash, aibakalands etc. etc. I was quite shocked and frankly, pretty pissed off. Not at you, of course, but at the shop who charged me $27 for this. (I actually was wondering why it was so cheap...)
I don't know what exactly the purpose of me telling you this is, but I thought you'd like to know that some people are taking your hardsubs, burning them onto DVDs and selling them in box sets. I'm also guessing that the Hana Yori Dango, Bambino and various other DVDs they're selling there are fakes as well, and probably the concert DVDs too.

Safe to say I'm returning the DVD and going to have some...unpleasant words for the shop keepers Angry

I knew stuff like this happen in e.g. China and Thailand.. It annoys, makes us mad etc when people are making money for our hard work. Unfortunately there's nothing we can do T.T

If you go to return the DVDs, we will love you for good if you tell them a word or two. Feel free to inform us of what replies they give you.

I was totally suprised to discover it, because I live in Australia, and you would hardly ever find pirated stuff here!
I'm planning on returning them this weekend, and will definetely be saying something to them >.< Will share what their response is...hopefully I won't get chased down the street though! Eh?

I don't know if it's even necessary to repeat the whole story. I don't want to get you all upset all over again but I thought it would be nice just to inform you. Just a day ago, I finally bought my first Arashi merchandise. While I was watching Yamada Taro Monagatari for the very first time, I noticed as soon as the credits came out, I saw it was STORMY Team Sub and I was like .. "You must be kidding me!" Just to let you know, I'm from Canada and this issue seem to be spreading everywhere. I don't know who's doing all this but I don't really like it. I also bought Arashi Around Asia Dome Tour, as well as the Final Time Concert DVD however, I haven't checked them yet. I'm going to try my best to return them. I wasn't the one who paid for them to begin with, my mom did and I went through a lot of trouble with her just to get it (This is what I have to go through for being an overseas fan >_<If>_<) Anyways kudos to you all! You guys deserve HUGE CREDIT. I don't know what these people are thinking but they're so baka, you guys are way cooler!

YTM was encoded with XviD that's why it's easy to burn to DVDs. As for our latest stuff, they are encoded with x264 (e.g. AAA con) which should be a bit more problematic. Not 100% sure though.

Okay, so I brought back the DVD and they really gave me a stupid answer when I asked why they had your subs, haha. But anyways, I really hope the new encoding helps stop from your subs getting stolen.

I bought Arashi Around Asia and Time Final concert DVDs as well! And I have this feeling that they are totally copies too.!

As for the response, when I brought it back at first they didn’t even want to exchange it. So then I basically confronted them about where they got the DVDs from, and then they exchanged it grudgingly (lol? Not sure whether this is something to laugh about :S)
What annoys me the most is that now that whole store is pretty much untrustworthy for me now…and I was so happy when I first found it, thinking “FINALLY I can buy arashi stuffs!”

I brought YTM and the AAA dvd con. Both are copies...

I haven't gone back to complain to them... I too scared XD

But you really need to stay away from Chinese dvd shops. I reckon the shop I went to, everything is probably pirated.
