this movie is one of my tops... honestly took me a while to appreciate (mostly cuz everytime i watched it, i was dead tired), but i really do love the story. it's a totally different perspective of passion v. reality as compared to the PIKANCHI movies.
OOHHHH i need clarification, please please please to anybody who's familiar w/ Japanese dialects...
was MatsuJun's character (Yuji) speaking... Sendai-ben? his accent was kind of hard to follow... when he greeted the other 4 with "obandegasu" (when they were going to the bathhouse) and i had a hunch that that was a unique greeting. i never watched the "behind the scenes" interviews, so i have no idea. anyone? anyone?
I love their friendship in the movie, but their real life friendship is hella more interesting!
truly agree with you..! hehe..
though the story was a very meaningful story about life.. the friendship was not that so..
but if you'll compare it with their real frienship inreal life, i would prefer more of that!!
I saw this movie last weekend. It's one of those bittersweet stories. Lotsa laughs (MatsuJun's character is such a dork), but at the heart of the movie is the struggle to make your dreams come true, and knowing when to move on. The thing i liked best about the movie was how their bond was never broken despite all the stuff that happened.
Even though Nino was great in his role, i still wonder if they should've let him be the singer/songwriter hm... Nino + guitar =

if nino would be the songwriter, who would be the serious manga creator? yeah aiba could pull that off ne... and if nino is the songwriter, will he be the one left with the woman in the room <s>and be the one who does not like sex</s> LOL~~ just trying to imagine how the movie would go if the boys switched roles
I absolutely LOVED watching Kiiroi Namida. Not only did it have all Arashi members (which I always enjoy watching), it had such a nice story. It shows all of them working so hard in order to achieve their dream, ♥
I liked how it was from the older days, i could see how they partially lived and stuff. And of course, seeing Arashi act like they were from the older days was GREAT. :) I also liked the fact that it was older, cause it somehow seems more believable. Everything they talked about was believable and greatly acted~ :DD

I loved that movie, even if I didn't like Arashi I would still love it, and that's probably a big factor of a good movie for me. Like I loved Letters from Iwo Jima and then as I started liking Arashi I found out Nino was the LEAD in that movie and I was so happily surprised. I'm so glad they are talented in many multiple ways. <3 That makes me realize I will never get sick of them and that makes me happy.
I think that it is the nature of the movie to be slow. It is afterall about the showa period. But for a showa movie, I think it was pretty interesting and funny.
Afterall.. .we get to see arashi in the public bath...

i saw it a while ago, and though i usually like period pieces, this didn't entertain me too much. it is a rather "slow" moving plot, but despite that, i did like the idea of the plot because it covers a pretty pivotal moment in a group of friends' lives who were all in the process of needing to grow up and ultimately doing so.
friendship stuff get to me. arashi gets to me. yeah, this movie had me.
on a side note, i liked the cinematography of this movie. oh and sho's glasses are like ohno's glasses that he wore on music station recently for beautiful days! hehehe
i started watching this movie a long time ago but stopped coz i found it boring..just tried it again on the weekend and i'm glad i did!! (i can't believe i amost didn't see that desperate kiss by nino!!!! ) it does pick up pace about halfway through.
i guess it seemed boring because of the time period and they all looked pretty dorky but it was actually a pretty deep movie that i'm really proud arashi did. it had an indie film feel to it and it's not a movie that they would have expected to be a box office hit but it definitely showed that they could all be serious actors as well.
the part where the 3 guys were waiting at the train station and nino's look when he was talking his ex-lover in the end made me cry i think i'm going to watch this again and again
I felt kinda sad when I finished watching the movie...The ending was I bit depressing knowing that the characters wanted to be in the first place and end up doing other stuff... oh well, that's reality...
Loved ohno-kuns acting, I did not expect him to do drama so well...BRAVO!
i was shocked with Aiba's singing on the first scene of the movie. the one when he was waiting fo Ohno on a lab coat.. It was sooo cute... i honestly thought that Sho's character was a bit blunt compared to Chu in Pikanchi.
It took me like 2x watching it to finally understand the concept of the story.
