Ao No Honoo aka The Blue Light (2003)

Synopsis
Shuichi Kushimori is a 17 year old high school student who lives happily with his mother and stepsister. One day, without warning, his estranged stepfather, Sone, returns home from a long absence. Sone quickly falls into a circle of drinking and starts abusing his ex-wife and daughter. When he begins making sexual asvances towards Shuichi's stepsister, Shuichi is compelled to take matters into his own hands...

Anyways, this is the best Japanese movie I've seen. And I've seen quite many Japanese movies so far. When I first saw this I knew nothing about Arashi since that time I just had started to listen to other than anime music. I was surprised how that young guy acted, but didn't try to find out more about him.. too bad.

My fave scene is the one where Nino runs to upstairs with bat, getting ready to hit his stepfather. 'Cause now that I know Nino of Arashi I gotta say he acts brilliantly in that scene! The other good scene is the one where he kills the stepfather and realizes what he actually just did.

All in all, I liked everything in the movie - actors, the story, music, camera angles.. And especially the ending. It wasn't something you would expect.

My first thoughts while watching this movie....

"OMG SHOU-KUN AND CHIE-CHAN!!!!"

and now I'll keep watching and be depressed cus they arn't happy like Shou-kun and Chie-chan.

This movie is so great!! Nino's awesome!! I would never have thought that he could do a really serious role... But the movie's so dark and sad... And I love seeing the young Aya Matsuura, she's so cute

i think that nino is a very good actor he can play any role !! i wait the new film of clint eastwood to see nino in a theater in France !!!! YEAHHHHHH !

This movie's the reason why I ended up liking Nino so much. I absolutely love the scene where Shuichi killed Ishiokawa... one of my all time favorites.

What a classic face!

When shuichi and noriko facing each other across the aquarium in his room...my friend: this is terrible, shuichi is prettier than noriko #-o

He looks good too when riding his road racer across the beach after the murder.. Heart

he shows the emotion splendidly
I think that he make me become a psycho as well gheh

But I think that Sone did not making sexual asvances towards Shuichi's stepsister- he only want haruka to greet him right? Correct me if I'm wrong Eh?

But I believe that Sone raped Shuichi's mother...

i watched this movie last night and i'm really grateful to i_heart_aiba for uploading it otherwise i wouldn't have watched it...(emule is soooo slowT_T...)
it's the first time i've ever seen Nino's acting skills and i have to admit that he's more than great!! his actions, his emotions, everything is absolutely perfect>_<!!! he gives life to his character, he fits in the role perfectly.

for some reasons i guessed it rightXD!! i expected it to end like this... i think that another ending would have been wrong: this one is perfect.

Is it just me or does anyone else find the part where Shuichi is laughing and rolling around on his bed after the police interview him absolutely adorable? I couldn't help smiling and laughing at that part - I think it's a reflection on Nino's acting if the viewer feels caught up in his emotions. He really is the best actor of the group IMO.
