i know how you feel..i had arashi as my background and was pointing out sho and aiba (my ichiban's) going "aren't they so hot?!" and my mom goes "umm..you like girls now?"..sighh i was heartbroken. and my dad teases me about how "gay" they look but doesn't really do anything about it. gotta love parents. Unbelievable

Haha... I know that, this happened to me when I was showing my parents my Gackt fandom a few years ago, lol.
Luckily my mum kind of approves of Arashi for most of their "looks" smile

probably because they don't wear such fancy clothes like many other
jrock/visual kei artists ;) or use eye makeup etc.

My mom's reaction to Aiba every time is "is that person a guy or a girl". I think they all look like guys so I have no clue how she gets confused. Oh well some day she will know.

My parents don't care much about what music i listened, when i listened to Arashi they just asked me if i understand what am i listening? About my brother, he's not interested in Arashi but he's interested in Nino's magic. Somtimes i showed him some variety show of Arashi and he liked it.

My mom would go.. oh at least you're learning another language.
My dad knows nothing about them so he could care less. But he tells me to do something more productive in my time once in a while instead of pasting their pictures all over my room.
My brother could care less as well.. but he makes fun of me and screams "YA-YA-YAH" when he passes by my room. [Yes I like Ya-Ya-yah. Have a problem w/ that? ):<]

Beh, I remember my dad saying such things to me some years ago,
like in general about surfing the net and staring at japanese celebrities pics and looking for videos of them etc... I mean it's not like we do that 24/7 or
am I wrong? Okay some people might forget about the important things like school over watching their favourite star on screen, BUT there are far more crazy things children can do (like taking drugs, stealing stuff from other people etc) I'd worry more about than my kid being a fan
of some celebrities (whether japanese or western people), eh?
But I agree about school being important though :P.

And my mom... well no mather what I say she think they're girls innocent

I was watching they pictures ans she was like: "Why to always have pictures of girls in your computer??!! Are you a lesbian??" I was so shocked that I didn't say nothing... WTH

, my dad and grandparents are all like that... but amazingly I've managed to get my mum to learn the names and faces of all the members!!!

I get told all the time that I should watch non-Japanese shows but seriously, there's nothing else that I'd rather watch!

I don't know what tehy really think but when there are some funny and interesting things like haunting house or kakkoi pv, I make my father watch them . he likes that kind of things. sometimes I laugh so hard they just say "what are you watching" and they watch. I made my mother watch the first childminder episode of HnA the part where sho puts the girl to sleep. big grin

Currently working on that, lol smile

I noticed she has fun watching their videos/pvs some time,
these days I take my HTC with me when we take the bus
to the station (~15min drive) and now she does not even
take out her iPod but asks to see some videos instead :P ne~

Lately my mom has learned tha Sho is a guy... but only Sho.. She liked Yatterman... I was watching it then she came and I was like "better go to the computer" she yelled at me "leave the dvd there that dance is funny... is it that boy in that girlband you like? What is his name again??"

So I think if show her Arashi no Shukudaikun she may learn all his names and gender Wohoo!

I basically poisoned my whole family by putting Arashi music in the car, getting them to watch their shows and series etc :P

My mum likes Jun ever since Hanadan but after watching other's dramas, performances and shows and listening to their songs, she loves Arashi too (but Jun will always be her fav :P). My dad started liking Ohno since watching uta no oniisan and Maou, now he can't stop talking about how good he is (its a bit weird i kno)....LOL. So my parents are totally fine with them since our WHOLE family LOVES arashi now!!

I succeeded in poisoning my family with Arashi!! YAY! Wohoo!

My mom is accepting, she just does not care too much. She'll watch the funny PV's with me (Arashi-Happiness, News-Summer Time, K8 PV's etc.) and she always get's songs that I'm listening stuck in her head.

I know she loves Ohno a lot! I remember I told my friend that once and her only response was "Everyone's mom loves Ohno!" XDD

My dad on the other hand, could care less. I just think he's learned to ignore me and my obsessions.

My prarant don't know everything about arashi. Although I try to make them know.

They just say "Can you close TV please?" They're ignore arashi and me.

Very sad.
