Supporting Arashi – buying releases

I know some people support Arashi as much/often as they can by buying the original releases, and some people have absolutely no intention buying the original releases and thus they just download stuff. How is your case?

I think I'm doing pretty well supporting the group. Besides PC releases + Tomadoinagara single I should have all albums and singles. I started to buy their releases around March I guess. That's the reason why I only have both editions of Kitto Daijoubu single. But if I have enough extra money I will buy both regular and limited editions of the coming singles. Currently I'm waiting to get the limited edition of the new album. I'd have liked to order the first press of regular edition too because of the photobook, but since I'm unemployed I couldn't. I also have their Hig? and Iza Now concert DVDs. I admit they were expensive T_T But I love the cons and the DVD extras are just fun!

Besides future releases I'm also planning to buy Pikanchi movies soon even though they have no subs. All in all for me it's important to support the group 'cause I love them so much. I also buy the stuff from CDJapan if possible since I've heard it’s better for them.. well it is better for me too XD

There's three groups I support: Arashi, V6, and TOKIO. For me though, I don't really buy their CDs and DVDs to support them, I buy because mp3s and avi/mpg files (even HQ ones) suck compared to the originals. They're my favourite groups, and I want to see and hear them in the best quality possible. I don't usually buy singles, only if I really like the other songs or if there's a DVD or something else really cool, or if it's on sale (I can't pass up bargain!).

I have bought 2 Arashi's "Japan version"-albums and 2 "Overseas version"-albums. And I will order their new album when I'm 18 (soon, soon!). That will be "Japan version". But why those Japan versions costs so much?! baka

I'm so poor...

'Cause CDs in Korea just happen to be cheap XD. CDs in Japan cost pretty much the same as CDs here.

I try my best.... but sometimes it's really not affortable, but if you don't get it, it'll be gone with a snap of a finger... and most of the times you really have to do some searching around your area (I have a few Asian malls and a place called j-town, but it's still very limited unless you go every week to check for updates). Especially if you don't have access to paypal and online purchasing, it really makes life a lot harder.

Here's my case.....

I only buy the CDs and very few DVDs. I don't even buy their drama DVDs or movie DVDs. I'm one of those "obsessive compulsive" types where I tend to save a lot of money as much as I can (not that I don't have a life LOL), which usually is a good thing because when they release something really cool (like a photobook and stuff), I'd be able to purchase myself.

But did you know that if you purchase your CDs from CD Japan, HMV, or Amazon Japan, your purchases count towards the Oricon Rankings? Those rankings would mean a lot to Arashi, so that's a clue as to why you should purchase the originals instead of ripping them from some site w/ their mp3s and stuff... ^^;;;

Technically, purchasing their goods is just one way of supporting Arashi. There's a lot more ways---- like opening a website dedicated to them. smile

I buy new releases from CD Japan so they count, but for older stuff my inner cheapskate takes over! I buy everything else from YesAsia (free shipping can equal the cost of another CD) or eBay (from sellers in Japan so I probably won't get a pirated copy).

im a fairly new Arashi fan and so far i bought Kitto Daijoubu ltd ed, Arashic reg and Aozora Pedal reg ed. i'll probably buy their One and 5x5 album next so i hope they wont be releasing anything anytime soon. i wish i could go and watch their concert but Japan's too expensive. #-o

since im quite a new fan(just last year), i only have Wish reg, KDLE, the upcoming ARASHIC LE and just pre-ordered APLE-A. of course i have plans of buying those late releases, but i cant buy them now

Rock-chan... LMAO...haha.....I'm a new fan to Arashi, since Jan 25 of this year (dear Bambi's d-day). So far I've only manage to collect some magazine pics, HIG DVD, KD singles, Wish CD, oh and a really big poster of the word Arashi. I didn't buy it, I went to this sign shop and gave them the kanji and they made it into a poster for me. But when I buy their singles/album I usually buy it from CDJapan not from Yesasia (even tho it's cheaper there), since their sales go to the Oricon Chart.

But sometimes, my brother&I run out of money TT.TT
It's better to buy their stuff then download it in my opinion ^^v

I have this motto \"if you download it, go buy the cd\", but Arashi's cd are pretty expensive- especially in a student allowance. But I'm going to buy Arashic. Even if it means no lunch...
