since i did a gcse in music, i can sort of play the piano (a little bit better than a beginner)
but id like to get better...more practise would do wonders
but ive always wanted to play the saxophone (i grew up watching the simpsons and wanted to play the sax like lisa )
so do you know how to play any kind of instrument already? or want to learn how to play another? or dont play any at the moment but wish to learn?

I play a few instruments.
I come from a musical family ^^
I play Trumpet, guitar, and French horn mainly.
This year I'll be learning the flute, clarinet, drums, violin, cello, and I'm thinking of taking piano lessons again. The first two my sisters are teaching me and the third one my mom is.

Wow~
I used to learn the piano and then gave up after about 5 weeks.
Really, my family is not musically inclined at all. I mean, my bro can play alto sax, flute and trumpet, but that's the end of it in my family. Obviously my bro is adopted
I've always wanted to learn drums, but I'm not coordinated enough and I can't really tell notes apart

I took piano lessons for 4 years, but i always put soccer, basketball, and volleyball ahead of my lessons. So I play at an ok level, but now I wish I had continued for more years
People not in band really don't understand what we have to go through.
We probably work just as hard or harder than all the sports.
Don't feel bad all the people who quit piano. When first took lessons I quite after like one lesson and that was the end.
I'm not a band geek, but in high school I had a friend who WAS. Yes, she described to me her weeks, and it was like, the sports equivilant of "Hell Week". Seriously (please don't be offended but), sometimes i wonder why you guys (band-people, I mean, lol) stick with it. But I guess it's because you love music so much!
I taught myself the guitar, and I can play fairly decent. And I can play piano a tiny bit.
I would like to tremendously improve my skills in both, though, haha, as well as learn to play the violin! ^__^ The more instruments the better, I say! =)

^ each day is equivalent to hell, yes.
Most people tend to stay in band for college. Most colleges LOVE you if you had experience in marching band because it shows discipline, passion, musical ability, dedication, etc.
The people in it are pretty awesome though. You make like a whole new family.
Also, yeah, cause we like music.
I totally agree with you. The more instruments the better.
I played recorder in elementary school. Don't ask me why..
Then I started to doubt my musical skills. And I quited it.
But I took optional music in junior high.
And since I had no singing skills (but I did have beautiful voice before) and couldn't play the guitar, drums or piano well enough, I just played the bass.
And that's pretty much the only instrument I can play anymore.
But I have never played any instrument "seriously".
Listening to music is my talent - not making music XD
^ you get to choose if you want to play recorder in elementry? No fair.
Everyone in grade 4 in my elementry school, well everyone in my district, was FORCED to play it >< It was a mandatory class itself.
We have just general music lessons in elementary school. That is mainly singing and playing recorders. But I was in school's music club for a while and we played it there. There aren't many clubs in elementary schools in Finland, if any at all. So I was part of probably all that we had
My first instrument was the piano and I am still playing it.
We were forced to play the recorder in primary school and also could either pick violin or cello. I picked violin (like the rest of the year except 5) and I stopped playing a few years ago and I also can play the guitar!

I play the guitar. I can play a little bit of piano. I started teaching myself how to play the harmonica but I gave up due to shortness of breathing. I also taught myself how to play the recorder but just like the harmonica, I gave up (I got dizzy after playing some piece) People say I can sing but I'm too shy to sing
I joined our Highschool choir when I was in my sophomore year
