Lately I've been feeling that every guy around me, isin't good enough even though they aren't doing anything wrong. I mean, even Arashi have their big flaws, but somehow I've become to picky when it comes to the "real" life..
I guess I'll die alone if I keep being this picky, and also kind of afraid of big relationships... *shrugs*
Dunno if I'm just talking jibberish, or if someone else agrees?
I don't really think that way... To me, the members of Arashi are, like, gods to me, but I do realize that if they had never debuted, or entered JE, I probably wouldn't care about them at all.
And I actually do a bit of the reverse of what you do. XD I try to really pay attention [I said try] and really notcie the person. or...
I have no idea what I'm saying. >.< It's hard to get my meaning out.
Yeah, that's true...but that's because JE unlike other popbands expose their bands to the public so that fans will get to know their personality and not just face. I mean, I started liking Arashi through MatsuJuns doramas, and I would probably still like him if he just appeared in doramas. But then he wouldn't be exposed in the same way, and maybe it would be harder to get to know the person..
Aaah, what am I saying? It's not you really judge a person by tv-shows and such...but at least you get a feeling of what they're like..
I mean, overall, if a swedish guy and an asian guy would walk past me, I would probably notice the asian first.

at my age, i really don't look at it that way. however, i could feel your sentiments on raising your standards a little bit higher because of the these guys. it's not bad to have them as your "standards," i think they may even help you find a great guy.
let's just all hope that there are still guys out there who could match these standards, ne? if not surpass it, maybe at least be good enough to equally achieve it..

not really. each member represents arashi when they are on tv.
they could be different in their private lives, maybe except ohno...very my pace...
the boys themselves have said that they tried hard to make their concerts and shows as interesting as possible.
They are not naturally talented or funny. They are just ordinary people.
I know they are, but somehow it feels like you know them when you don't. And I'm sure there are lots of other guys just like them personality-wise but... Gosh, I don't know what I'm saying.
Maybe I've just had alot of bad experiences.. well not really bad, but all of the guys I've tried to be friends with, ended up having feelings for me, and all the kinds I like like other girls.. Heh, typical I guess..

For me, even before Arashi, my standards were kinda high Not because I think they must be really good to keep up with me, but just because I'm not the type to date just because I think the guy's okay and because I want a boyfriend. And then AFTER Arashi, my standards have pretty much just gone up even higher But I wasn't planning on seriously dating until after or during college anyyway. And besides, most of the guys my age or like two years older are wayy too immature and plain to me. The most I'll think of a guy at this point is "Oh, he's cute" and that's about it ne.
Yes it does.
I always go for the smart ones preferably with at least a degree (SHOOO), now they have to have looks too. I blame the guys for screwing up my simple ideals with their beautiful beings.
Hmmm.......
my standards are up to my emotion.LOls
In contrast , I've thought because of my high standards so I started to like Arashi and other Japanese bands. And maybe it makes my standards higher.

Haha, you couldn't have hit a more exact spot...it's the same for me.
I dunno, I just don't feel the desperation of finding a boyfriend 'just because'. Alot of my friends that have boyfriends, seem to change boyfriends alot. I don't know if it's experience that they'll have that I won't have when I'm seriously dating but I just feel that you don't have to rush it...
well i'm not sure about the standards thing but sometimes, when i see someone, i'd be thinking that "oh, he looks like jun" or "he talks like ohno" or "he plays around like nino" or "he's cool like sho" or "he's funny like aiba" or something like that..
maybe i just like to relate guys in real life with arashi members..
but even if the guy doesn't look or behaves anything like them..i'd be searching for something to relate them with..
or, i'd just go..."oh, this guy's cute..but not as cute as ohno"..and i might still fall for that guy..hehehe...

agh, I can't tell - I'm back at my all-women university and we've all noticed that being here really lowers our standards for guys (among the girls that are attracted to men, that is). XD
Although I think one of the things that I have really high standards for in guys is their attitudes towards women and in general, I don't like the attitudes that the guys have - all the JE boys, so I think some of it is what they're supposed to be like, but I often get annoyed when I read the "what kind of girl do you like" articles. Ability to cook should not be on those lists. I'm not looking for a man based on his ability to fix my car. So, in that way Arashi and the other Johnny's actually often don't meet up to my standards.
Well more than dating, Arashi became the J-boyband that I would usually compare other groups to. I really believe that Arashi is on a whole nother level above in JE (not including all seniors, etc^^), they've really earned the titles sempais (to jrs) because Arashi is multi-talented. Have u seen all their doramas, stageplays, movies? Everything they do, it turns out great~.
*alittle over-protective* Also, I always read on the net and see ppl compare Arashi to ie. News (I really like News an' stuff, but when it involves their fans dissin Arashi, I get annoyed), sayin how Arashi can't sing or dance, but News can I mean really -____-;; Arashi's got years on them so there are certain things you pick up on even in vids or cons. Arashi doesn't need a lot to entertain millions, they're always so natural and eye-catching onstage it's like you go at "their" paces. I personally liked all their songs and pvs, they make me raise my standards pretty high so I don't mind if no one will come close to them =T .
Srry for ranting long. Do I even make any sense now ? Haha
