sugoi ne, i admire sho's hardwork, or maybe he didn't want his parents to worry about balancing his studies and career ne... how is he using his degree?
That's pretty fast for someone who is in the entertainment circle! I think that's something to really admire him because he wants to enrich himself with gaining new knowledge by continuing his studies! It must have been a great pressure for him (considering his environment and everything) but he was able to handle or deal with all of that and the fact that he was able to finish his degree (which was very hard)! It's really impressive of him because of his ambition! I mean, Education is really important for everyone.
I saw from his interview in the Hanamaru Cafe - they showed his grad picture with his close friend (I was really amazed, I wasn't aware of that information before)! And I noticed that he was confident speaking mandarin when they had their Taipei Concert - Around Asia (I was even more amazed with that fact, that he had mandarin lessons before?). He even corrected Jun when he said: "Wo MEN shi..." instead of "Wo shi..." only. It means that he was saying "We are MatsuJun!" instead of "I am MatsuJun!" *I laughed at that part when they all referred to themselves or called themselves Song Ben Run (Jun's Chinese name)*
Going back..
I admire his hardwork, keep up the good work, and continue gaining knowledge and being an expert with your craft and on other things!
So I see he studied English a lot, but we never get to see him speak it often (other than in his raps)... too bad, I bet it would cute!
I think it's really impressive that he was able to go to school and work full time, I could barely handle working part time while going to school!
I remember reading somewhere that he'd make flashcards with English words on them and study them on his way to school (I'm assuming during high school). It's what I do now with Japanese. It's really effective!
I'm sure his English vocabulary is very impressive, as well as his understanding of the language. I want to hear him speak as well, though he's probably really shy about it.
I too work and go to school full-time. It can definitely be done, I just think it requires a lot of will power and this sounds silly, but before I got into Arashi, I've thought of giving up many times. After reading about Sho and how he juggled the stressful life of a Japanese idol AND managed to get through one of Japan's top universities, that only made me want to do my best and get through it successfully.
It's amazing - the number of people he's an inspiration to.

the first time i saw sho was in pikanchi and yes, he was the gangster in pikanchi that's why when i found out that he is a keio grad (i found out later that it is one of the most prestigious schools in japan!) i somehow cannot connect his pikanchi character with his real self. i guess that's his appeal... and proves that he CAN really act!

I remember watching a clip from one show (memory escapes me which show it was) where he was speaking English to an interactive toy. If I didn't know who he was, I'd think he was from the West Coast of the US.
Then again, I was born in the US and I always get mistaken for a foreigner. Amazing.....
I really admire Sho-kun for deciding to finish his studies while working in the entertainment industry... the main reason why I fell in love with him was because of the fact that I am also currently taking up economics and mind you, it is actually really hard... And it's just amazing that he was able to do both things at once... Sho-kun rocks!!!
I really admire him for that. Being in the entertainment industry and studying at the same time really needs hard work. I even read somewhere that He left the location while shooting a movie(he had to attend his classes). The director even called Johnny to inform him of Sho's behavior but Johnny said that Sho just went to school for his classes and that he will be back afterwards, just wait for him. I've also read that his mom is an heiress of a huge company and that Sho-kun was supposed to take over when the time comes. Maybe that's one of the reason why he did pursue college education. He even said that he wanted to become a lawyer.
wow, after reading everything, I have even more respect for him...I mean, being able to graduate from college with a crazy hard degree, he was also able to do Arashi activities which take him everywhere around Asia...really, he is amazing
The best thing about him is that he really underplays his academic achievements.
When he graduated everyone made a big deal at his ceremony and he said it's a normal thing to go through and in one of the Heyx3 interviews, the hosts were asking him to tell everyone how great his uni was, and he was so humble and said it's not a big deal and didn't mention the name of the uni after that. And he never acts like he's the smartest among Arashi either. Instead they often tease him about him really being stupid.. Altho I don't think academic achievements determines if a person is smarter than the next person or not.. but it definitely shows a certain level of intelligence, discipline and commitment.

He's such a great person..
And he doesn't mind to be called idiot too..
Everytime someone calls him "BAKA!" the only thing that pops in my head is "Nope..not an idoit"... and I'm sure it pops up in other people's head too..
And 'Keio' is just meant to be his middle name...
And it's soo great that he's always so humble about it..
And he deserve that 'Smart' title since he worked sooo hard for it..
I' m just so happy for him..
I hope he's happy too..
*starts studying because refusing to be an idiotic fan.. and practice cooking at the same time..and laughing at myself at the same time*
Ahh.. being Sho's fangirl sure requires alot of hard work
he really impress us with this ne...his major is not easy at all..plus he had a lot of work at that time too...unlike me, who not even work but still find it difficult to study...really ashame of myself...really want to know how he divided his time tho ^^
