Okay, I KNOW some of you guys have had that problem of getting your friends into our Johnnys music! Haha! Maybe because it's a in a different language or maybe because it's too pop for their taste? You KNOW you have to be careful in choosing songs you want them to hear, in hopes that they'll pick up on it and start sharing our love Arashi or NEWS or whoever! haha! big grin
So, in order to help them get interested, what songs do you guys generally play for your friends to hear? and from what Johnny's Group?
From Arashi, i normally play: Pikanchi Double and Happiness (although that song MAY be a little too much for them? Haha!!) gheh
From NEWS: Hoshi wo Mezashite and Weeek
From KAT-TUN: Signal, Keep the Faith, and Harukana Yakusoku
Anyway, looking forward to your answers!! clapping

eheh!!! Weel that wasn't a big deal for me since my friends ALREADY know about it o_O!! I was the only one who didn't know the wonderful Johnny's World!! Shame on me blush ...... ^^

But most of the time, I prefer to show some parts of concerts to my friends which don't know about Johnny's, because I have the feeling that they will not be move by the music if they don't have a visual support lol.... smart

And like that, for exemple, if they have watched Kattun's concert and see Kamenashi in a japanese show or something like that, they will say "ooh! I know him!!" and will check for it lol.

..... Now that I think about it, that a quite evily trick, deshou o_O?? lol

I'm a littlebit unfair. I start playing Arashi music in my car, the whole time but not very loud (ok loud enough to hear a littlebit) whistle and later on, I get them to listen to Sakura Sake, Happiness and Love so sweet. But what really helps is showing them the Live performances. I always show Cool & Soul from AAA in Dome!!! Heart
And to get them really into liking them, I show them some of their TV-shows, where they are so baka that everyone has to love them!!!

Well, that's what helped me convince Katrin, one of my best friends. She's not really a fangirling fan now, but she likes them and would like to go to a concert with me!! *success* Wohoo! Wohoo!

I usually play Love So Sweet, PIKA**NCHI Double, & Life by ARASHI.
Seishun Amigo by Shuji To Akira. Weeeek, Hoshi Wo Mezashite by NEWS. So far only one of my friends likes Seishun Amigo since I let her watch Nobuta Wo Produce & she fell in Heart w/ Akira (Yamapi). clapping

I haven't been able to convert any of my friend into an Arashi fans yet, but my sister and my mom have. I watched AAA DVD with them, and the next thing I know my sister ask me to fill her iPod with all Arashi songs I have. As for mom, after AAA, I watched Arashi no Shukudaikun (the christmas part with Aiba cosplaying as a reindeer) with her...and now she's in love with Ba-chan Heart

I have a friend end up liking news after I showed her the part they sang 'dreams' in the Never Ending Wonderful Story DVD.

Haha! I do the same thing! big grin If my friends need a ride, they pay the price. haha! Well, at least they pay the price in having to hear me sing my head off.. hahaha! Cheer I noticed a lot of people show videos along with the music. Thats smart. That way, the Johnny's look MAY buy into our friends' interests. haha! big grin

Most of my closest friends aren't into pop at all, so I don't play Arashi for them unless it happens to be playing in my apartment while we're hanging out or something.

But because I've been in love with Step and Go lately, my boyfriend starts humming the tune randomly clapping

it was actually my friend who tricked me into Johnny's.. The first Arashi PV she showed me was Love so sweet and the second was probably.. Kitto Daijoubu big grin

the first Arashi song i'd play to my friends would probably be Love so sweet as well.. and Modori Ame since it's my favourite big grin even though it's not "typical" Arashi.

from NEWS it would definitely be weeeek and from Kat-tun.. i'd say Keep the faith or GOLD. ^^ i think the first NEWS song i heard was Sayaendou (or actually it was their live performance) and the first Kat-tun song i heard was Real Face.

I think the only Arashi song I've ever played for anyone was Sakura Sake. It didn't really lure anyone in. I've had more luck getting people interested in Tackey & Tsubasa and TOKIO through their music, but the way to Arashi seems to be through inflicting Mago Mago Arashi at them. At least that's what's worked for me!

My sister fell in love with "A-ra-shi" because of the dance and the english part which she love to sing along. And with NEWS she adores "Kibou ~Yell~" because of the "Hooray" part which sounds nothing like "Hooray" and again because of the english parts (Fight for win! XD).
I think - escpacially with non-JPop-Fans - it's best to use songs with as much english as possible. So people can sing along easier.

Most of my friends are like.. into Jrock and such. Not poppish things, and they all know about Johnny's and are pretty sceptical about my obsession. But seriously, it seems like if I show them Jdrama they slowly get hooked anyway x'D
