First impression of Ohno...

IN ADVANCE I APOLOGIZE TO ALL THE JUN FANS ^^;

my first impression of Ohno was... well... i didnt exactly notice him at first (i was Jun-baited from HYD whistle

) so yeah, i was all jun crzy and yeah... smile

The first time i saw him was the first PV i watched:"Wish"

i was like "what the heck? hes soooo ugly and weird looking"'
"why's he in Arashi???"
"Whats up with the hair?"
"WHAAAAT he's LEADER?!"

i was so mean to Oh-chan ^^;
i even thought he was like a drummer or something XD XD

NEXT i wanted to see if Jun could sing well.. for me, talent and personality matter most^^... so i typed in "Jun Matsumoto Solo" then when i heard him sing, my face fell flat, XD so for about a few weeks i didnt have an ichiban anymore after that incident XD XD

then i watched we can make it PV it was matsujun's part first. and i was like ahhhhh my eaaarsss! then ohno was next i was like "if only matsujun sang like this, i would be flailing over him. I pity that dude singing with matsujun" (referring to Ohno XD)

then i took notice of Nino started liking nino, and then i started liking Ohno after we can make it! a bunch of Arashi shukudai-kuns and funny random clips in youtube XD and the oh-so-AWESOME TOP SECRET SOLO Wohoo!

i noticed how AWESOME he was, and TALENTED

Then my craziness of Jun was all blown away, and now he comes in last place ^^;

for me was like "woww~~ he's so space out!! OMG just like me!" uhauhuhauhahu really! And this took my attention, so in the beginning I was always looking for jun-chan (I'm jun bait) and oh-chan. Talking about beauty after jun-chan, oh-chan is the most kakkoi in Arashi to me. However I'm always waiting for oh-chan reactions, it's so funny and cute. blush

The first time I saw Oh-chan was in the Wish PV during those HYD times & got curious of Jun's group. When I saw that PV I thought all the other members (including Ohno) were ugly. confused

When I got into Stand Up! because of Nino I looked up more old videos of Nino, which led me to some old ARASHI shows & PVs & I started to look at them differently. Now I think they (especially Oh-chan) are just adorable/funny. clapping

I even like the way Oh-chan spaces out & yet he's super talented when it comes to singing, dancing, gymnastics, acting & art. Wohoo!

i really started to watch variety shows of arashi.
and i guess my love grew for all the members through that
but wow ohno grew on me soooo much.
i thought he was the funniest and i loved how close he was with his mom.
and from there ohno became my favorite member~

My first sight of all of them was in Sakura Sake so I was cracking up over the very end with Ohno's little "move". Then I saw the A no Arashi special with the fire crackers and the ostrich egg. So all the food things he was "UMAI!!"

I thought he was funny and I was really curious about all of the members, so I started typing them in individually on youtube and I saw Top Secret. After that, I was totallly convinced of why he was Riida.

At first, riida was Eh?

"oh-no!-he's-NOT-one-of-Johnny's-guy" to me confused

He just, sort of not the typical idol look, ne? And when you're first baited by Jun to the fandom, I think you'll have this idea that JE is full of 'beautiful guys"

Now....Riida is really a riida for me big grin

I respect him a lot because he's him. Though most times people wouldn't see him as 'beautiful', but he is! He's the funniest, even when he spaced out... And about his artistic skill, singing ability, dances skill?? He's like THE idol image you'd looking for.

I was Jun-baited so at first I didn't pay much attention to Riidaa... But, somehow, when I saw his solos, when I heard his beautiful voice, I became interested in him. Now he's my ichiban! lol
I think more and more people love Riidaa because of his personality and because he's super kawaii <3

The first time I saw him was when Arashi was on Music Station for Nice na Kokoroiki. I thought he was the cutest one, but didn't pay much attention to Arashi after that. XD (I was more of a Morning Musume fan)

Then I started to watch their shows, and at first I thought "My gosh why is he so lazy! He totally looks like he doesn't want to be on TV at all." lol But that's part of his quiet charm I guess. Good thing I paid attention to him long enough to realize that there was more to him than just looking spaced out on TV Heart

"I love his hair"
"What an amazing voice."
"He makes the best faces"
etc, I really noticed him first, then I noticed Sho, (but Sho is my ichiban)
But I noticed Ohno first, and I really think he's one of the most talented people out there. But I first noticed his funny faces that he makes XD So I guess thats my first impression.

When did I first notice riida???

Well, like many, I'm jun-bait. (HYD 1/2, to be exact). Looked up him, the group, and vids. I thought the WISH vid was a little strange at first, but grew to like it. I think the next one I watched was "We Can Make It". I was so new to everything, I couldn't even tell which one was Matsujun when they showed all 5. I kept mixing him & Sho up (because of the hair, although I now realize they're quite different). I thought all of them were cute.

A-ra-shi vid is where I really noticed Oh-chan though, especially where he sings his solo. (I had an even harder time picking MatsuJun out because of the quick clip changes until I figured out what color jacket he was in). I thought Oh-chan's eyes were very soulful in that vid (liked the longish hair), and I liked the quality of his voice.

Of everyone--they're so young
Ohno - baby face, cute.

As I get to know the group more I found him extremely funny. Song for Me was all it took for me to get hooked. Then the Mago Mago (wedding for grandparents in Okinawa w/ Nino) and Kodomo no Bangohan (change the kid's diaper w/ nino) made me like him even more. Seems like a very genuine person.

Ohno.. Only knew him as a leader in the beginning and found him too quiet, his easy going nature was very obvious, though sometimes I wondered if he's falling asleep haha! At times his reaction will make me go, "Ehhh??" like is this ok for a Johnny's artiste? WTH

After following Arashi more, I find Ohno irresistably KAWAII. All his photos, that CUTE SMILE, and maximum kakoii when on the stage DANCING. His own pace of life... subtle yet explosive humor, motherly behavior....

Ok got a feeling I'm going to talk never ending about this, better hop on to topic threads where I can gush about Oh-chan! blush

As a fellow Jun-Baitee, I totally agree. When I first saw Ohno, he was pretty much "that other guy in Arashi who's name I can't remember". But right now, he's getting pretty close to the top of my list...possibly tied with or about to top MatsuJun.

Riida's Top Secret dance in Iza Now really did it for me. That was like way hotter than MatsuJun's Rock With Me.

I think I'm really drawn to him because he also reminds me of my boyfriend. Not looks-wise...but he's an artist who can space out anywhere, eat pretty much anything, sleep at any time and would let his mother buy clothing for him (if I wasn't doing that already).

i remember that the video that made me start to like him was the video where arashi proposes, the "YOU! marry me!" one XD

Hahah, first post :X I've been lurking for a month or two...but I HAD to comment on this because...:

We're like the same fan, haha. And probably not the only ones with THE EXACT SAME STORY. Only difference is that instead of the top secret solo, it was the One concert where he's just adorable during the entire thing XD And the hanamaru where we see his art...Man. I was pretty shocked. It's crazy how naturally the arashi fandom progresses, isn't it?

Also, in the beginning, I thought that Jun, Ohno and Nino were pretty distinctively...you know, them, but I had THE HARDEST time figuring out who was sho and who was aiba based solely on pictures. Music videos made it a little bit easier because Sho was the one who raps but...man. That was kind of bad, hahaha.
