I´m from Brazil. I´ve seen some brazilian Arashi fans here and I got happy ^^
Brazil is as big as a continent. We speak Portuguese here, because we were a Portugal colony, unlike the rest of South America, which was Spain colony and therefore speak Spanish...
Life here is not easy for most people, but it´s really fun to live here. Peoplo are funny and really nice to foreigners, unlike many countries.
We go to school from 3 years of age until 18, when usually you go to college... Schools here are either morning or afternoon, you usually dont spend all day in school, which I think is good, so you can have free time to do what you like and study for school.
Brazil has a large japanese influence on some cities, because many people came from Japan in the past to live here, specially in Sao Paulo, the most important state of Brazil. So its easy to see japanese people end to know jpop if you live in this part of country...
Although many bad thing appear on the news about Brazil, its a very lively, peaceful and beautiful country, where people really enjoy living...

I'd like to think that California has a little bit of everything in terms of cultural practices and food. For example, there are Asian restaurants, movie theaters, and grocery stores in the near vicinity. Parts of town are devoted to a certain ethnicity, e.g. Little Italy. I don't think you can get that same cultural diversity in a lot of places.

Hi~!
I live in the Philippines...specifically in Mandaluyong City...
Well, I don't really have that permanent address because we go from Province to Province or City to City. Depends.

And since we move a lot, I've been to almost half of all the tourist spots in the Phils,,,it's really nice~! Especially in the mountainous regions...
My provinces are Bohol (ya know, the place where the infamous Chocolate Hills are...) and Romblon, (land of the marbles, as I call it.)
Romblon is near to Boracay, so yah, Boracay is just an ordinary place to me...-_-" But the beautiful beaches and white sand are still nice~!

The cities are really populated. You can see the street people everywhere and every corner of the cities are so filled with trash. Demo, you can still see a lot of beautiful places around the city, like malls and parks...

The Phils will be having an Ocean Park too~! It's gonna open up this February 2008...I wanna see it badly,,,

But the thing I hate here is the weather~!!! hope we'll have snow...it's too hot here~!!!!

Well I was born and Raised here in New York City a area called "THE BRONX" which is one of the FIVE BOROUGHS of NEW YORK CITY.

my parents are from PUERTO RICO which is a Carribean Island so I speak English which is my first native language and then Spanish which is my second language.

Here in NYC you can learn ANY language you want....I was taking FRENCH in College but dropped out since i wasnt doing too good. But can understand a little something and read a little bit too. But my MAIN TOP PRIORITY right now is to learn JAPANESE i can understand a few words here and there but i wanna learn to the FULL extent....

anyway NYC is ok for me not something that everyone expects....since tourist only go to MANHATTAN but not out from there like my neighborhood there really isnt nothing to do......

I mean at night in the CITY (MANHATTAN) it's REALLY beautiful but other than that nothing exciting......

for JUNK FOOD lol i used to eat LOADS of it but since im getting older (26) I dont eat lots of it anymore...but when i waz younger i use to eat lots of chips and icecream, cakecookies, pastries, candy anything that had sugar....now im more aware of what i eat....but yea that's the life here in NYC.

Born and raised in a small town in New Jersey called Pompton Lakes.
I've had three generations of my family live in this town, and I really want to leave XD
My mom comes from Long Island though and my dad comes from my town. My dad's whole side of the family comes from Austria and my mom's side is from England. I still have family in Austria, and I was related to a Baron in Austria, but his daughter didn't want to go back to Austria from New Jersey for the inheritance money, soooo that sucks XD
And my family owned a whore house in Austria and worked in it, so, I'm like, 4th generation out of Austria, not a prostitute :|
Don't really know much about my family in England ;]
But yeah, small town in Jersey, Pompton Lakes, come visit me XD

Our educational system is very bad so please do not come to France for studies ^^ lol. Our country is not that big and some people outside the U.E never know where it is ^^".

I think that's all I can say about this country, ah yes we are such losers in sports -_-

LOL....first when I read your post, my reaction was "too lateee!!! WTH " I've already spent 3 years in France, half of it 'tasting' the French education Eh?

I am originally from Indonesia.
My parents are from Medan, in the island of Sumatera. But I spent most of my teenage days in Bandung, West Java.

I guess what's famous from Indonesia is bali (and probably Lombok by now). But if you like to go to mountains instead of beaches, then I guess mount Bromo is also a good option for you to visit in Indonesia.

Bandung, where I grew up, is a mountainous area. So it's supposed to be pretty cold, compared to other places. But it's not anymore. I guess the pollution just change everything.

There are many kind of foods to enjoy in Indonesia. For people who love sweets, or those who love spicy food. Those who love fish, or those who prefer meat. Everything's available ^^

I'm from Maryland. BLAH
It's pretty fun if you're visiting because you get to see the White House, Vietnam Memorial, etc. etc.
But after living in a small town for several years and seeing the same faces EVERYDAY...I really need some rescuing [from an ANA plane going straight to Japan wink ]

And it especially sucks because there aren't any stores that sell ANY Japanese merch.

Help! ~sigh~

I´m from Dominican Republic, dunno what i´m supposed to say but i´ll go on XD. It is the second biggest island in Central America, on the Caribbean.
Here the culture exchange is very closed, although people love to think they are americans, however whenever my friends see my playlists they go O_o on me.

Where i live there are zero to 4 places to get stuff from Japan (and i don´t mean food), zero being the places to get stuff from JE and Jpop altogether. I think only anime card games have a close to good distribution around here.
Anyways we speak spanish and most people that finish highschool know english at 18 most likely.
I´ve never met anyone who knows of Arashi, ..Laruku XJapan and Ayumi yes (one person per idol) XD. Maybe there´s someone here!!...

i'm from malaysia, Kuala Lumpur to be exact. It's the capital city of Malaysia. JPop and Arashi are not so famous here, but I always found a lot of Malaysian fans on the Net.

i'm from Argentina, i live in the capital city Buenos Aires, we speak Spanish...
what else... most of the ppl is from foreign heritage (since our history destroyed almost all evidence of native culture to take over the place) so it turned out like a country with a mix of cultures... the streets have mostly Spanish/Italian architecture

historically... it's not an industrialized country, it mostly lives from ganadery (livestock is the right word?) and agriculture

at school... they teach you English as mandatory and some schools teach you Portuguese.. French.. German

food... we consume a lot of meat
and as for yonk food... it's not that yonky as in other countries... but there are the basics such as pizza and macdonalds xP though i'm not a big fan of it

culture... ummm dunno what to say about it... it has a rich culture, u know... architecture, great painters such as Quinquela (though the aren't that much recognized internationally), tango dancers and singers (Gardel)... and there's a huge football fanaticism (not me, i'm a zero to the left on that last point)

well, dunno what else to say, just ask xP

I live in Stockholm, Sweden.. no NOT Switzerland!!! Sweden is the country up in the very north of Europe..!!!

Swedish is our native language.. and if you know swedish it's easy to learn danish and norweigan!! the languages is quite similar.

Lets see.. during winter it's dark (IN THE very north of Sweden they hardly see the sun at all during winter time), cold and boring.. but summer is kinda okay, however many travel to warmer countries, like Greece, Spain, Thailand etc.

In school.. well we have normal subjetcs, such as maths, social science, biology, chemistry and so on... Depending on what you choose in high school u have subjects related to your "programme"..
as for me I took a "Social Science Programme European focus French/Spanish/English and buisness"

From 6th grade you start with a second language (besides from Swedish and English) u can choose between French, Spanish and german, unless your english is really poor, then you have to study more english.

Nowadays, many people are intrested in Japan (and other asian countries), such as food, music, movies, anime, manga etc. and japanese artists such as Tegomass, Dir en grey has been to Sweden..
(We have a poll where you can vote for artists that you want to come and play over here.. and I have voted for Arashi, however I don't think they will come too soon.. but I keepon wishing!!
I mean TEGOMASS debuted here so who knows maybe Arashi will come!?)

As for food.. dont know what to say.. its a mix between european food (italian, greek, spanish) and american and asian(such as "thaifood","sushi","chinese food" and so on.)
