Sho has been a "Keio Boy" all his life. In Japan, some universities have their own chain of schools from elementary till high school, and Keio is one of them. He started in Keio in kindergarten and pretty much stuck w/ the school system until university.
Other than studying his major, Economics, he has also been studying English for the longest time since Kindergarten. In one of his older Sho Beat radio shows, he even said that when How's It Going? album first came out, his English teacher announced and promoted the sale of the album to the entire class in front of Sho, and that made Sho felt rather embarrassed... LOL. ^^
When he graduated, he and his buddies made their own soccer jerseys, and they also went to Korea for their graduation trip. Surprisingly, no one recognized Sho there while he was in public (considering there's so many Arashi fans in Korea)... LOL.

I'm gonna study economics too Oh, this topic was about Sho - not Haru XDD
I think it was wonderful how he managed to study a degree besides his show business career! When I studied two degrees at the same time + worked part-time I was half-dead.
I used to be a double-major in Economics and English too when I started, but I found my love and discovery of the media industry so I switched and dropped English major to Mass Media Communications. Sadly due to the economy + competition w/ jobs by the time I graduated that I ended up in another industry, which is insurance. LOL
Anyway, back to Sho. ^^ I've read somewhere in Arashigoto (or somewhere else, I forget) that part of the reason why Sho kept going had something to do with his family background and influence (which is probably why he always takes thing seriously and is somewhat semi-conservative when it comes to simple values and all that). In fact when he was chosen to debut w/ Arashi, his parents did not approve of it and had problems with each other regarding Sho's new-found goals (see, the Sakurai Family is a rather semi-conservative, academic family of geniuses and influential people that the elders expect their younger generation to continue on with their traditional background and reputation). His parents' strict disapproval did not stop Sho, however he said that even though that he would be a future star someday that education is still a priority. He wanted to prove to his parents that he can survive being a star and a student at the same time...
That, he did just that. ^^ You gotta give him credit for all the hardwork that he's done to get to where he is now.
I think it's foreign/int'l economics, but I'm not sure.... I read somewhere that it's Macroeconomics... but I'm pretty sure it's foreign/int'l econ (otherwise he wouldn't be taking English courses while he was there LOL ^^; ).

economics... god, i hate economics sooo much !!!
most of the time, i can't relate the economics facts between them <_< my teacher said to me "at least, you're working hard to have better marks!" XD so, he must be good at it ^^
it's really amazing how he was able to juggle his time between his studies and Arashi. and Economics is such a tough course. it's one of my least fave subjects back in college.

Gosh, I love this genius.
He's amazing. I can hardly juggle school&band but he can do both school&his career. I really admire him ^^ His character really attracts me.

I still like Economics despite the fact that I moved on in to different things... LOL.
In Arashigoto, he mentioned that during shooting periods w/ movies and J-doramas that he brings his schoolwork w/ him. During breaktime, he studies/does his homework at his corner and even requested the staff to not disturb him except to let him know that break is over. LOL
On the week of his birthday is also final exam period (late January), so he doesn't celebrate his birthday until after exams. Good thing he doesn't have to go through that anymore this year LOL. ^.^
