Japanese dramas and actors

Are you familiar with j-dramas (other than ones starring Arashi members XD)? Any recommendations?

I actually haven't watched that much j-dramas. Besides Mukodono, Kisarazu Cat's Eye, Kimi Wa Petto, Hana Yori Dango and some drama specials with members of Arashi, I've only seen Sailor Moon Live Action gheh

I first started to watch k-dramas and I know them, as well as Korean actors, much much better than Japanese ones...

Sailor Moon Live Action is the first j-drama I've watched lol After that I started to watch Kisarazu Cat's Eye but I finished Kimi Wa Petto before it.

I've heard Ichi Ritoru No Namida is a good drama but I haven't downloaded it yet. Anyone seen it?

Oh, and my all time favorite Japanese actor is Hiroyuki Sanada Heart

You must watch GTO, starring Sorimachi Takashi. It's old, but it's still really good. I've watched it probably ten times, by myself and with people I'm trying to convert! Wohoo!

Yes I'm a big fan of j-drama and I've watched Ichi Ritoru no Namida of course.

For recommendations, I should asked you first, what type of drama do you like? eg: sad drama, funny drama, school drama, etc

I have watched only few episodes of Kimi wa Petto and all Hana Yori Dango-episodes. Jun Matsumoto is good actor (but Nino is better gheh

ichi ritoru is awesome, I cried so hard!

List of recommendations:

1. Gokusen (Gokusen 2 if you're a fan of Kat-tun and of student-teacher drama)
2. Nobuta wo Produce (this is a really good drama, i've watched this twice)
3. Pride, Good Luck, Engine, Long Vacation, Love Generation (I'm also a fan of Kimura Takuya (smap))
-> actually almost anything that has Kimu Taku is good, but if you're not a complete fan stay away from Sleeping Forest, Concerto, One million stars
4. Summer Snow (tear jerker)
5. H2, Ace wo Nerae, Ganbatte Ikkimasshoi (sports drama that I liked)

note: GTO is good, too but GTO, Dragon Zakura, Gachi Baka and Gokusen 1 & 2 have similar story lines, so it gets kinda tiring.

Current dramas I'm watching

1. Kurosagi - starring YamaP(NwP) and Maki (Nobuta)
2. Attention Please - starring Nishikido Ryo (1 litre) & Ueto Aya (koukou kyoushi)
3. Busu no Hitomi - starring Katou Shigeaki (NEWS) & Goro (smap)
4. Top Caster - starring Matsuda Shota (hyd) well atleast that's the reason I'm watching it, (his part is small) and it has a good story line.
5. Oishi Proposal - starring Koide Keisuke (gokusen 2) This story feels like a typical K-drama to me. There's nothing really unique about this.

Then GTO is best. Although it is aired in 1998, it's still the best drama til now. Most ppl have watched it ^^ It's teacher-student drama (quite the same as Gokusen). And chibi Oguri Shun act there ^^ (yes, chibi Hanazawa Rui XD)

If you hate to cry then don't watch Ichi Ritorru no Namida (which means One Litre of Tears). As the title said, I've cried a lot although I've watched the drama for the third time. But it's a really good drama, really ^^

My most favorite of all is Summer Snow and Nobuta wo Produce.

Summer Snow has Dohmoto Tsuyoshi (kinki kids) and Tsubasa Imai there. It's basically a sad drama, but I only cried at the last episode, cuz along the story you'll find many funny scenes, especially since Dohmoto Tsuyoshi's character is quite hilarious.

Nobuta wo Produce... well you know the bomb of Shuji to Akira. It's a story of friendship. Not that much funny, but the idea of the story is really good and the plot is too interesting to miss...

I'll add recommendations again when I can think about something ^^

i don't cry so much when I was watching 1 rittoru, but I'm not very sensitive and my friends are saying that I have a stony heart, am I a monster ?!! ^^

Ok, I gotta watch GTO XD And maybe Ichi Ritoru No Namida too since I've heard so much good about it. Guess it's ok to cry one in a while.

Nobuta. wo produce ^^, it's not about arashi but if someone is interested in NwP, 1 rittoru no namida or an another drama maybe I could upload them ^^
