This drama is not as popular amongst fans as Yoiko no Mikata or Kisarazu Cats Eye. But we thought that the story is good and very touching, that's why we subbed it. The writer of the original novel is very famous for writing great stories ;)
Although Sakurai Sho acts as "Tokio", he is not the main character. The main character is Tokio's dad, portrayed by Kokubun Taichi (a member of JE group TOKIO).

^Oh I didn't realize that the guy portraying the dad was from TOKIO. That kinda surprises me. I still love it when Sho says "What a frumpy!" in either the first or second episode.
I love the scene when Tokio just found his dad the first time when he went back in time. His smile... *dies* And I love it more when it got featured so many times in almost every episode's preview

this drama is great even though sakurai sho is not the main lead. it's like tokio being in the past is trying to say something to his dad and to get a message to the audience
トキオ tokio is a strange drama. i mean, i find the premise of the story really weird. a son going back in time to when his father was younger and the two of them going on this amazing journey together.
nonetheless, i think it is a touching story about a father and son. i like how the son miyamoto tokio saw his dad miyamoto takumi at his worst and although he was disappointed, he still accepts his dad. he also does his best to help his dad become a better person.

I totally agree with this, he just makes the cutest smile *melts* I had to turn it into a gif XD, but the ending made me cry T__T
I have really enjoyed this touching drama. The end was sad but also left you thinking they will meet again. I loved Sho in this role he really suited the part.

im downloading this series right now and still in episode 10. hearing that it will be a sad ending makes me... cause somehow i know what will happened. even though it will be a sad ending, i still think that its a good and heartfelt drama. Hopefully, i wouldn't be too sad when i watch the ending.
this drama helped me lose a lot of body fluid, which helped me actually since I was sick of flu.
I only prayed to God that heaven, please no more dying Arashi scenes in other dramas. This must be my third seeing an Arashi member die. (the other 2 were from Nino)
i really liked sho in this drama, but i did not like the dad at first. i thought that he was so annoying and only kept on watching because sho was in it, but in the end i found it really sad and even cried when sho died.

Amazing picture...That smile is cute...but I like the half-happy, half-laughing smile better as seen in Yamada Tarou
